Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone

So today I decided that I would do an extra post as I have decided to do a review next week I have chosen to do a tutorial today . Now because I am still in school and their rules on makeup are quite strict I only really wear the bare essentials so I have decided to an everyday maybe school makeup tutorial just to give you a glimpse of my sort of everyday makeup so lets get into it.
So , firstly I apply my moisturizer this is essential as it helps make sure my skin is not dry as well as helping improve my skin. The moisturizer I am currently using is the Garnier Long Lasting Shine Control Moisturizer as my skin can sometimes be oily and this moisturizer is really helping control the oil and reduce the appearance of shine.
Secondly I apply a primer after my moisturzier has sunk in , at the moment I am currently using the Benefit Porefessional but I am currently using their minatures as I am unsure of whether to buy the full version. Then I like to put on a lipbalm this ju…

Week 7 - Best Drugstore Brow Pencil

Hello everyone

So for week 7 of my savings series I have decided that I would talk about a recent discovery of mine that I have been loving and in desperate need to share. This amazing product is the Mua Eyebrow Pencil.

The pencil comes in three shades : Blonde ,Black ,and Brunette. I picked up the Brunette as it suits me better then the Blonde or the Black. I personally am not a huge user of brow pencils as I mostly use brow powder but I use brow pencil just as a go over in case I have missed something as well as to really define my brows.

I have been using this pencil with my Technic complete brow kit using the middle shade. I find that these work so well together and really make my brows look almost professional. The brow pencil itself is such a nice shade it is a quite dark brown which can be builded into a highly dark brown so I personally wouldn't recommend this if you want fairly light brown brows.

As you can see by the picture a lot is not required I have used a very tiny a…

Week 6 - Bioderma Dupe !

Hello everyone

So this weeks post of my 'savings series' is about a dupe , since I have already talked about this product before I wanted to talk about it more and just explain why it is so similar if not exact to Bioderma. This product is the Garnier Micellar Water which can be used to remove makeup and cleanse the skin.

I have been loving the dupe for so long I do use it to remove my makeup but I always apply a toner afterwards , this is just to help cleanse my skin and just to make sure all my makeup is off my face. I have actually done a review which will be linked below so please do check it out if you want to find out more.

I personally have never been a fan of Bioderma as I find that all the dupes are either literally the same or just better so why would I pay a silly amount of money for a product that I can get cheaper and probably better.

This product is actually pretty good , I find that the Bioderma is good and always will be but I find that I end up using to much of …

Week 5 - Best Face Masks!

Hello everyone

This is Week 5 of the 'Savings series' and I have decided to talk about the best face masks I have tried that at such good value for money. Now I will say that these face masks are not the absolute best but they are just as good if not better then most face masks out there.

I have already done a review of these face masks before which I will link down below but I thought that I would revisit them and talk about the other ones I have tried. These face masks are only £0.99 which is honestly amazing considering how good they are.

They do exfoliating, cooling, deep cleansing ,relaxing, and clay masks. I have tried all these masks and I would have to say that the best ones are the exfoliating , clay , and antioxidant masks. I feel personally that the cooling and relaxing masks are personally a waste as they are just really face masks and there is nothing more to it.

What is really surprising is how much of a difference they make to your face , I noticed that the exfoli…

Week 4 - Diy Brush Cleaner!

Hello everyone

First of all I would like to apologize for this being posted a day late as I am currently sitting my exams I am revising quite a lot so I will still be uploading once a week but they might not always be on a Friday.
Anyway so for this weeks part of my 'savings series' I decided I would mention a way of saving money on brush cleaners. Now I have tried various brush cleaners and found them to be so good but they come at a fairly expensive price. So I have now started using my own brush cleaner which I personally prefer as it is inexpensive.
This Diy includes using shampoo , I preferably use the Alberto Balsam Coconut and Lychee shampoo as it gives such a nice smell on my brushes. Alternatively you could use baby shampoo as it works the same but I prefer to use normal shampoo.
What you need to do :
- Grab your brushes and start to soak them in water  ( in the pictures I am using the real techniques expert face brush ) as you want to try and get some of the 'gunk…

I Heart Drugstore Makeup Tag !

Hello everyone

So today I thought I would do something that is a bit different and I would never really do one of these but I thought I would try and see if people like these so today as you can probably tell be the title of this post I am doing the I Heart Drugstore Makeup Tag , I have decided to do this as I don't feel like I really talk about the really good drugstore products.

Anyway time for the questions! :

1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand?

My favorite brand would have to be Rimmel (of course)
2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?

For my face it would have to be between the L'Oreal True

match foundation and the Rimmel match perfection
foundation , then my favorite concealer would have to be the
collection lasting perfection concealer and for powder it
would have to be the Rimmel stay matte powder. For cheeks I
don't really wear that many blushers but I do like the
Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush although I don't use it
that often. …

Week 3 - Nicer Nails For Cheaper!

Hello everyone

So this is week 3 of  my 'savings series' and I am currently enjoying it I personally feel like at the moment only uploading once a week has become more beneficial for me and I will be continuing to post every Friday.

So this weeks save is on a nail polish bran I personally don't rave about enough on here which is Barry M now I have always and will be a huge fan of Barry M I find that their lip products are amazing however their face products are not as good anyway today I am going to be comparing Barry M's 'white' nail polish to the very popular but yet expensive brand Essie's 'Pearly White' nail polish.

Now first of all yes Essie nail polishes are in bigger bottles but personally for me there is a reason for this , I find that whenever I buy an Essie nail polish and I go to use it there is always to much on the brush now I know that you can remove the excess but every single time I go to get some nail polish out of it I end up with …
