My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Week 6 - Best and Worst Liquid Eyeliners

Hello everyone

So this is Week 6 of my '8 Weeks of Drugstore' and honestly I have loved this series so far and I cannot believe it will be over in two weeks. I have decided that when this finish I will be doing a post every Friday where I will be sharing my tips and tricks on skincare and makeup and every Wednesday will either be a tag or a review of something.

This weeks best and worst is on Liquid eyeliners. Last week I wrote about the best and worst pencil eyeliners. I decided to separate pencil and liquid only because I would have been mentioning too many. So I have picked out 4 eyeliners 3 which are liquid and 1 gel eyeliner. I have chosen eyeliners from different brands that not only range in price but also range in quality.

Firstly I will start off with the two that I consider to be the best out of the 4 eyeliners I have chosen. These are the Barry M Blink Precision Eyeliner and the MUA Gel Eyeliner.

Barry M Blink Precision Eyeliner (£4.59)- This eyeliner I
actually picked up about a month and a half ago and I have been trying it ever since and honestly I really like it. The felt tip itself is pretty smooth and doesn't 'drag' across the eye which I like the most about this because some eyeliners I feel are too rough for the eye and they make me feel like I am having to drag it across my eye. The intensity of this is also amazing it is almost a jet black. The lasting time is pretty good as well it tends to last for about 6 hours which is pretty good. This eyeliner is actually the most expensive out of the four chosen. But it is definitely worth the price.

MUA Gel Eyeliner (£3.00)- Now quite recently I have been reviewing a lot of products from MUA and I have exactly been loving every single one however this product was actually pretty surprising. I am not the best person with gel eyeliners, it does require a lot of patience and a lot practicing (which at times I will lack) but this product was actually pretty easy to use. The intensity of it was pretty good it appeared black and wasn't fading throughout the day. It seemed to last for about 4 hours which honestly is not bad. I would say that this is definitely more of a beginners eyeliner in the sense that it isn't the best gel eyeliner but it is a pretty good product to try and practice with. And for £3 it isn't bad either.

Now we are moving onto the 2 products that I wouldn't necessarily say are the worst eyeliners but they are definitely not the eyeliners I would personally choose first. These are the Miss Sporty Studio Lash Liner and the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Liner.

Miss Sporty Studio Lash Liner (£2.79)- I have actually reviewed one of these eyeliner before and at the time I loved it I was just getting to grips with using eyeliner and I found it really good. So the other day I decided to use it again and I just feel like this really is a basic beginner eyeliner. It doesn't last for long and it is fairly 'fiddly' to use.The color is not very dark it seems to slowly fade throughout the day. This is mainly the reason why I would consider this as a practicing eyeliner. One that you can just practice getting to grips with not one that I would personally use all the time for everyday.

Collection Extreme 24 Hour Liner (£2.99)-  I bought this near Christmas time as I was just starting to try wearing eyeliner. But for me this just didn't work, I felt like the felt tip was too 'stiff' and I could never seem to use it without it smudging or leaking which I shouldn't get with an eyeliner. The liner also use to flake quite a lot during the day and doesn't tend to last at all. This product was a huge disappointment for me as I really expected it to be decent but it didn't deliver anywhere near what I hoped for.

So this has been Week 6 out of my '8 Weeks of Drugstore' I hope you have enjoyed this post and found it useful if you have then feel free to comment. Next week I will be discussing what I find personally to be the Best and Worst Foundations so check that out next Friday. Also on Wednesday I will be reviewing a skincare item from Garnier that is meant to help them annoying spots so check that out on Wednesday!

  2. Yeah I really enjoy it! x

  3. I totally agree with the last product review. There is nothing like having an eyeliner that just won't cooperate, haha. Nice post :)
