My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

My Current Skincare Routine!

Hello everyone } Follow my Bloglovin!

So a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I had just recently been sorting out my skincare routine. I had noticed that my skin has become fairly oily and I decided that changing my skincare routine could help reduce the oiliness of my skin.

I decided that I would share with you my current skincare routine that I have sorted carefully. This skincare routine has honestly helped my skin so much my skin is no where near as oily as it once was and I don't have spots appearing as often as I previously did.

The one thing I love about my skincare routine is that all the products used are inexpensive yet effective and don't break the bank whenever I need to re purchase them. In my routine I have tried to keep it as simple but effective as possible as I am not the sort of the person that wants to spend 20 minutes doing a skincare routine.

Products I use in order of use:

- Garnier Micellar Water
- Cotton Pads
- Garnier Refining Toner
- Boots Exfoliating P…

Is It Wonder'ful ? - Rimmel Wonder'ful Mascara Review

Hello everyone } Follow my Bloglovin!

So today as you may have guessed from the title I am going to be reviewing the latest thing Rimmel have launched. A couple of weeks ago I received an email revealing that Rimmel were bringing out a new product and I could not wait until it came out.

To be honest I was shocked when they announced it was a new mascara. I mean I love their mascaras to pieces however I was expecting it to be maybe a foundation or a highlighter. Nevertheless, the minute the product hit the shelves I instantly picked this mascara and began to try it.

The mascara is called Wonder'ful which is a fairly odd name however there is a reason for this (which I will explain in due course) it contains argan oil which for those unaware is mainly used in hair care. Argan oil can help condition and improve the quality of your hair. When I found out they were putting argan oil in the mascara I was sold completely.

The packaging is very 'quirky' it is very similar to the Kate…

Face Masks - Why you should always use one

Hello everyone

So as you may have noticed by the title this is a bit of a different post. A few post's back I mentioned that I would be posted more skincare related posts and I felt like this was the right time to post this.

So as summer is almost over and one thing that I have noticed throughout this summer is I have honestly not been good with my skincare. I haven't really done my normal full skincare routine, this has made me notice how my skin has 'suffered' so in a bid to help my skin get back to its normal self I have twice a week been using a face mask.

I have always been a lover of face masks I haven't tried many face masks as the minute I find one I like and one that works for me I immediately use it all the time. However the past few months I have started to try different face masks more recently and I have found some that are really doing wonders for my skin.

Superdrug Exfoliating Facial Mask - I have mentioned this previously but I didn't feel like I …

Boots Absorbing Oil Sheets - Review

Hello everyone } Follow my Bloglovin!

Today I am reviewing a product I have recently being trying. Since about March I have noticed that my skin has become fairly oily. I decided that as my skin had appeared to become oily I would sort out my whole skincare routine and basically make sure I was helping reduce as much oil from my skin as possible.

After 're-designing' my skincare routine I decided to purchase these which are the Boot Oil Sheets. These are basically sheets that you can use to remove excess oil off your face. What is good about these is that they can be used on top of makeup meaning that no makeup is removed when you use one of these sheets.

Firstly, the sheets actually work over makeup. At first I was really unsure about these as I didn't fully understand how I would be able to put the sheet around my face and manage not to remove any of my makeup or leave any sort of marks or residue.I have noticed that this leaves absolutely no residue or marks anywhere on m…

Top 5 - Toners

Hello everyone } Follow my Bloglovin!

So today's post is a bit different. I have decided to do a 'Top' 5 post I won't be making this a weekly series as I don't really want to be starting a new series until about October. So basically I have decided that every week from now until October I will be posting a review or tag on a Wednesday and a random post on a Friday. What I mean by a random post is basically a post about a skincare item or maybe a haul. This is basically because I will be starting college and I know I will be busy so planning to not start a series until October is really ideal for me and I hope people understand.

Anyway getting on with today's post. For me using a toner in my skincare routine has become an essential. I feel like people don't fully see the difference using a toner in your skincare routine can make. I notice after about a week of not using a toner how bad my skin goes.

A toner is basically meant to tighten pores and purify the s…

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Review

Hello everyone

Today I am going to be reviewing a foundation I have been trying recently from Rimmel. It is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. I picked this up about 4 weeks ago as I wanted to try it out after hearing loads of reviews on it and I decided to try it myself.

The idea behind this foundation is to brighten the skin and hide any sides of tiredness which something at times I really need.
This foundation actually worked well for me. I was a bit optimistic about this as I expected it to make my spots appear more visibly and highlight areas which I wanted to conceal.
However, this foundation did the complete opposite. I actually adore this foundation at the moment. It highligts all around my face but it doesn't make any of my spots look more visible. It highlights the right parts of my face.
I have actually worn this foundation a few times without concealer (I apply it in the corners of my eye) and I have noticed that it does conceal them very well.
I would say that this foun…

Week 8 - Best and Worst Concealers

Hello everyone } Follow my Bloglovin!

So this is last post out of my '8 Weeks of Drugstore' and I am sad to end this series as I really have enjoyed sharing what I think are the best and the worst makeup products in the drugstore. Next Friday I will be posting about my 'Top 5' I might do this weekly or I might decided to this as an every now and then post. Basically I will be talking about the 'Top 5' toners or the 'Top 5' facial wipes. I have decided to post more about skincare now as recently I have been neglecting skincare related posts so they will be returning soon.

Anyway today I will be posting about 4 concealers all from the drugstore which I have categorized as the best and the worst. These concealers not only range in price but also in quality.

Firstly , as always I will be mentioning the two concealers that I would categorize as the best out of the four I have chosen. These are the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and the Rimmel Wake Me U…

Elf Eyelid Primer (Sheer) - Review

Today I will be posting my review on an eye primer by Elf. I purchased this about a month ago as I wanted to get an eye primer to use for my prom makeup. I hadn't really tried many eye primers and I decided that I would try this as I haven't really tried many products from Elf but I decided to test this out.

I got the primer in Sheer and one of the things that I noticed is that the primer comes 4 'shades' which I was surprised by as I didn't think that they would different types of eye primers. I don't know if the shades affect the product or whether they are just different shades of eye primers but the idea of there being different 'shades' was very intriguing.

The product itself dries very fast I found that I had to wait about 2 minutes. I could have waited less time but I wanted to make sure the product had fully sunk in. The primer is quite light and not thick which is something I was concerned about as I find that when you apply too much primer it do…

The Liebster Award } Again!

Hello everyone

You may or may not be wondering why I am posting this again. Basically I was nominated again to the Liebster award thing and I basically decided to do it again but obviously using the questions from the person I was nominated by. I was nominated by the lovely Urika (do check her blog!.)

I will basically be answering her questions and as I had already nominated people in my last post I will not be nominating anyone else in this post as it would be repetitive otherwise.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to Urika for nominating me and now I will answer her questions!

The Questions :

1} What's your favorite band ?

My favorite band has to be Clean Bandit I really am loving their album at the moment and I would love to be able to see them live.

2} What's your favorite clothing store ?

Definitely ASOS they have a really good variety of clothes and I don't really have any problems with any of their clothes.

3} If you could have dinner with anyone , whether they ar…

Week 7 - Best and Worst Foundations

Hello everyone

Today's post is Week 7 of the '8 Weeks of Drugstore' and I honestly cannot believe that this series will be ending next week. So for this weeks post I have decided to talk about 4 foundations from the drugstores that I have tried and tested.

The four foundations that I have chosen are Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation, MUA Undress Your Skin Foundation, Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation, L'Oreal True Match Foundation. All of these foundations range in not only price but in quality.

Firstly, I will be starting with the two foundations I would class as the best out of the four foundations. These are the L'Oreal True Match Foundation and the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99)- This foundation is honestly one of my current favorite foundations it gives off a semi-matte finish which I like as well as being really easy to blend in.
Which again is something I really hope for in a foundation. This foundation …
