My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

The Perfume I Have Been Loving For The Past Year - Diesel Loverdose

Hello everyone

So as you can probably guessed by the title, this is going to be a bit of a review on the Diesel Loverdose perfume. Now I know that this isn't really a recent perfume but it is the perfume I have been using throughout the past year.

The perfume has quite an odd scent to it, I would say it is definitely more of an autumnal scent but it can be used all round, it has hints of Vanilla, Licorice, Amber, and Mandarin. Which I will agree does sound like an odd mix but they blend beautifully and give off a fairly strong scent.

Like I said this is more of an autumnal scent which is why I only apply about two sprays in the autumn and about 1 spray the rest of the year, this is because it is quite a strong scent you don't want it to be too overpowering otherwise you will just stink of it and that isn't very nice.

The price as well is pretty reasonable, it retails for £39.99 for 50ml which in my opinion isn't bad and considering it is a designer perfume the price is pr…

Superdrug Witch Hazel Mud Mask - Review

Hello everyone

So today I am going to be reviewing a face mask that I have been testing out for the past months. I am a lover of face masks I use one every week and they just benefit my skin so much. I have wanting to be trying face masks that are meant to combat acne prone skin and oiliness. I was in Superdrug when I noticed this and decided to try it out.

Link -

It recommends that you use it a couple times a week which is what I have been doing for the past month. The mask takes around 12 minutes to dry but this all depends on how much you apply. Do remember not to layer it onto your face as it won't benefit your skin at all. The mask comes off easy but it loves my face a bit red for about 10 minutes which shows that the face mask has worked.

Recently I have had a lot of acne and i have wanted to use this mask to help soothe and calm down my breakouts. This is definitely a slow remedy so don'…

Would You Rather - Beauty Tag

Hello everyone

This week I have decided to post a tag, I haven't done a tag in like just over 3 months and decided to finally do another one. This tag is for anyone who wants to do it I have decided not to nominate anyone so yeah lets get started.

1} Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, lip glosses, lipsticks, and eyeliners or all of your eye shadows and palettes?

I honestly would much rather lose all my eye shadow and palettes just because I feel like I would be fine without my eye shadow and I would really badly want my mascaras.

2} Would you rather chop all your hair off or never be able to cut your hair ever again?

I would choose never to be able to cut my hair again just because I really like having my hair down and then I would probably win the world record for the longest hair so there's something I guess!

3} Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek ?

Coral cheek definitely I feel like it suits my skin tone more than having pink cheeks. Also coral cheeks…

Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser - Review

Hello everyone

Today I am reviewing a product I have been using for the past month. As it is getting colder I have not really been feeling like doing the whole skin routine and I have been finding that removing my makeup using the Micellar water had been taking to long and I just wanted something I could cleanse my skin with in the morning and use to remove my makeup at night.

And I found it, its the Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser. First of this whole Vitamin E craze is very much new to me and this was in fact the first product I have tried this year to contain vitamin E so here's to hoping I purchase and most importantly like many more products that include it.

I picked up this cleanser in Superdrug when I was having a look around and came across it. The thing that I probably like the most is that it comes with a muslin cloth which I was quite surprised at as normally they come on there own. This costs £5 which in my opinion is not a bad deal at all considering the cleans…

Mid-October Favorites

Hello everyone

So I haven't done a favorites post in what seems to feel like forever and as I have been trying out new things recently I decided to put them all into to one post as they are the things I have been loving through September and mid October.

There are a few products that I have actually revisited and are now loving so let's get started.

First off I have really been loving a foundation that in my best and worst foundations post I slated as being a bad foundation for me as I felt that it just didn't sit right on my skin and just didn't last. This foundation is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation. Since that post I have changed my skincare and my skin has become a lot more oilier but it has been easier to control. I have been loving this foundation now because it lasts for about 7 hours and no longer looks odd on my skin which is something I was really pleased about after hearing about how much people have loved this foundation and finally I can be one of …

L'Oreal CC Cream - Review

Hello everyone

Today I am going to be reviewing a product that I have been trying out recently. This is the L'Oreal CC cream anti- redness. I picked this up when I was Boots about 2 months ago and I was really intrigued by the whole anti-redness thing as my nose is constantly red and not many things conceal it well.

I have been trying to sort out my foundation and I decided to try a CC cream and see how I liked it. I would apply the cc cream and then apply my foundation on any thing I wanted to cover better. Although I did try applying this on its own and this is why I am reviewing this product.

The product comes out green which is meant to help reduce your redness, when you apply it to your face the cream changes in what is the closet color to your skin. This is where I found my problem for some odd reason the cream was never the same color sometimes it was really tanned and then some times it made me look pale which I didn't understand.

Secondly, the whole reducing redness thi…

Brows - Tips and Tricks

Hello everyone

As I mentioned last week this is going to be the last part of this series. I have decided to end it because I want to do more tags and other posts on Fridays. So from this week on wards I will be mentioning things I have loved for that week, monthly favorites, and doing any tags or questions that I want to post. This however will not affect my Wednesday post which is usually a review of something.

Anyway getting on to the actual post. As this is the last part of this series I wanted to give my tips and tricks on something that is a well needed post. And first off I thought of eyebrows. The idea of filling in, drawing, and even shaving off your eyebrows has become almost a trend recently and I wanted to give my tips on how to not mess your brows up.

Tip 1 } Do not (I repeat) shave them off or try to do anything with them yourself- unless you know exactly what you are doing and are being careful. You should not go near your brows, if they need threading or you want them t…

Tresemme Heat Protectant Spray - Review

Hello everyone

This week I am bringing to you a review of a heat protectant I have been trying out recently. It is the Tresemmes Heat Protectant spray. As I have started college I have been drying my hair with a hair dryer more and curling it and straightening it more so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't damage it.

The spray is meant to protect your hair from heat and stops the risk of damaging your hair. The product claims to work with heat up to 230 c which for me was quite a big statement.

I apply this by spraying it into damp hair just after I have brushed it following on by blow drying and then either leaving it or straightening it. I have been using this for around a month and I have made my mind up on the product.

First off the product works well in protecting my hair from the heat and I haven't noticed any signs of damaging in my hair. What I like a lot about the product is that it disperses the right amount I need for my hair.

The bottle is convenient as well as it is …

Mascara - Tips and Tricks

Hello everyone

This week I have decided to let you all in on my personal tips and tricks when it comes to mascara. In my opinion mascara is one of the most important part of my makeup. So trust me I have some disasters with mascaras, and as I am a nice person I have decided to give you my advice on how to avoid these mistakes.

Tip 1 } Wipe the mascara first please - now I mean this when you first get the mascara or whenever you go to apply it. The best thing is to wipe off the excess this helps to avoid the 'spider legs' as they are called which trust me no one wants. This will also help your brush from using to much mascara therefore meaning you can use your mascara a little longer.

Tip 2 } Don't use old mascaras - mascaras aren't meant to last a lifetime (sadly) around every three months you should re-purchase a new one and replace the one you are currently using. This as upsetting as it may be you need to do it. Imagine all the bacteria that has built up in your masc…

The Drugstore Dupe to Porefessional ?

Hello everyone

Last year, there was a product from Maybelline that had a lot of controversy. It is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. This is a primer that is meant to reduce pores and make them almost invisble resulting in you having 'baby skin'.

I have had this primer since February and I have been wanting to review if for a while so I decided to compare it with the Benefit Porefessional which in my opinion is the best pore reducing primer. In my opinion both primers do work but one does it a lot better than the other.

First of the packaging, the Maybelline one has quite vibrant and 'loud' packaging which is one of the things that drew me to the product. However the name itself is what really draws you in. The idea of having Baby skin from an £7.99 primer sounds a bit too much to be true, but is it?

The packaging for the Benefit is my personal favorite out of the two packaging's, the packaging is quite modern and has this baby blue and white theme on the …
