Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser - Review

Hello everyone

Today I am reviewing a product I have been using for the past month. As it is getting colder I have not really been feeling like doing the whole skin routine and I have been finding that removing my makeup using the Micellar water had been taking to long and I just wanted something I could cleanse my skin with in the morning and use to remove my makeup at night.

And I found it, its the Superdrug Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser. First of this whole Vitamin E craze is very much new to me and this was in fact the first product I have tried this year to contain vitamin E so here's to hoping I purchase and most importantly like many more products that include it.

I picked up this cleanser in Superdrug when I was having a look around and came across it. The thing that I probably like the most is that it comes with a muslin cloth which I was quite surprised at as normally they come on there own. This costs £5 which in my opinion is not a bad deal at all considering the cleanser lasts an awful long time. I have been using the cleanser everyday for the past month and I am just over half way so you definitely get your moneys worth.

Another bonus is that it has vitamin E in it. This works as an antioxidant and helps to protect your skin from damage from the environment. It also exfoliates your skin and best of all it leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth it is practically heaven.

The hot cloth cleanser is almost like a cream which you are meant to put around your face in circular motions making sure that it really sinks into the skin. Then using a muslin cloth or flannel rinse it under hot (not boiling) water ring it out and then use the cloth to remove the cleanser off your face and voila your face is makeup free and nice and clean.

My key tip with this cleanser and more in particular with any cleanser is that less is more. You do not need to apply a ton onto your skin you just have to make sure you massage in and that it removes all of your makeup and cleans your skin. At night I will apply a reasonable amount and rinse it off this always gets rid of my makeup and then I will repeat it but using about a pea size this is just to make sure my skin is really clean and all my makeup is gone.

Overall I really love this cleanser and I am intrigued to try more, if there are any hot cloth cleansers that you have tried and loved comment down below which ones and maybe I will review it. On Friday I will be mentioning a perfume by Diesel that I have been in love with for the past year, and on Wednesday I will be reviewing the Superdrug Witch and Hazel face mask.

Thanks for reading!
