My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Brand Focus - Collection

Hello everyone

This week I am going to be doing a brand focus on Collection, this is another brand that offers cheap and affordable products. I have tried out various products from the line and I am personally not a huge fan but there have been a few products that in my opinion help the brand.

I will be mentioning three of the products that I feel are the products that make me want to try out more products from the line, all of these products are cheap and affordable and can be found in Superdrug, Boot, and the Collection website.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer £4.19 - This was the second product I had tried from Collection and it is honestly the best product they do. The concealer is slightly creamy and gives amazing coverage that is easy to blend. The concealer comes in a variety of shades that all sink into the nicely and don't sit on the skin like some concealer can. This concealer is almost like a high street concealer except the price is the one thing that makes it a …

Great Fall Lipstick - Topshop Naturist Lipstick Review

Hello everyone

Today I am sharing with you the lipstick that has become my official lipstick of Autumn. I recently went into Topshop and got pulled by the beauty section. After spending about 10 minutes staring at it all I decided to try another one of their lipsticks. I have already tried Nevada which is actually not on sale anymore which I am pretty sad about as it was a pretty good nude lipstick.

I picked up a lipstick in the shade Naturist which is a nude lipstick that has a slight hint of purple in it. The lipstick has a slight hint of purple meaning that is a pretty good lipstick to use for autumn.
The one thing I love the most out of these lipsticks is that they are moisturizing and don't feel too wet on the lips which is one of my ultimate pet peeves when it comes to lipsticks.

The lipstick tends to stay on my lips for about 2-3 hours but can last longer if I re-apply it throughout the day. I mainly wear this lipstick when I go to college as I still wanna wear a lipstick but …

Brand Focus - Natural Collection

Hello everyone

So this week I am doing a brand focus on Natural Collection, this is a brand that offers a variety of makeup products that are affordable. I am personally conflicted with this brand I love some of the products but there are some products I hate.

Natural Collection does have some little gems that in my opinion are an absolute credit to the brand. I will be mentioning 3 of them that for me are the saviors of the brand

Natural Collection Pressed Powder £1.99 - This is one of the first powders I ever used and since then it has remained one of my favorites. It is really good at hiding shine and helps to make my makeup last. The good thing about this is that a very little goes a long way. The best thing really though is the price for just under £2 you get an amazing powder that lasts on the face and doesn't look cakey and settles nicely on the face.

Natural Collection Lash Curve Mascara £1.99 - This mascara was one that I picked up out of interest. I had seen a video where s…

One of the Best Foundation Brushes? - Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Hello everyone

Real Techniques are a brush brand that offer affordable but good quality brushes. They have several set as well as individual brushes. I am a personal fan of their brushes and own quite a few of their brushes.

Today I am reviewing the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, this was actually the first brush I got from Real Techniques. The brush is designed to help give a flawless look whether you use liquid or cream foundation.

But does it do this?

Yes, the brush is perfect for foundation it helps to give a smooth and almost flawless finish. It helps to build up coverage. Also because you are using a brush it is more hygienic than using your hands just make sure you clean your brushes regularly.

For me this brush is one of my all time favorites it gives a good foundation base and works well, plus it is inexpensive. It retails for £9.99 which is very affordable. One of the good things is that it comes in fancy packaging meaning if you want to get someone you know a present rela…

Brand Focus - MUA

Hello everyone

Today I am doing a brand focus post on MUA. I have been controversial brand for me there have been products I have loved and products I have hated. MUA is a makeup brand that has affordable products such as foundations, mascara and nail polish.
I have tried a few of their products and generally they have been good. I will be mentioning 3 of the products I have been really impressed with from the brand

MUA Lipstick £1 - First off I am going to mention a lipstick which was the first product I had tried from MUA, which made me love the brand almost instantly. I originally had one in the shade Nectar which is a really bright almost coral lipstick, which would be best to use for Summer. I also picked up two more in the colors, they are more autumnal shades which are perfect for this time of year.

MUA Eyeliner £1 - Second product that I have been loving is an eyeliner they do, its the MUA intense color eyeliner in jet black. I have been trying this eyeliner out for a while and …

The Remedy to Oily Skin? - Clean and Clear Morning Energy Shine DailyFacial Scrub Review

Hello everyone

So Today I am bringing you a review on a facial scrub that I have been testing out honestly has helped me skin so much.

My face has become really oily at the moment i wanted products that cleaned my skin and still dealt with the oil.
I picked up the Clean and Clear Facial Scrub Daily Shine which is meant to tackle oiliness which was exactly what I wanted.
It says that it is gentle enough for daily use I would only however apply this in the morning just because it fully cleans and awakens your skin.
I apply a tiny amount of this and massage around my wet face, I normally leave it for a minute and then rinse it off.
I have noticed a difference in my skin as parts of my face such as my t-zone are not as oily anymore which is definitely a plus for me.
The price as well is also good. You can purchase this from either Boots or Superdrug and it doesn't break the bank
Overall I am really impressed with this facial scrub and I hope to be trying more products that tackle oilines…

Brand Focus - Rimmel

Hello everyone

A couple posts back I said that around Christmas time I would be doing another series. I have decided to do the series now and when it gets closer to Christmas I will be doing more posts related to Christmas such as gift guides and things like that. If you have any suggestions on posts feel free to comment below.

Anyway actually getting on with this post, I talk a lot about certain products that I love and they some times all come from the same brands so I decided to do a series where I talk about the brand as a hole and mention a few little gems from the brand's range.

This week I am mentioning is Rimmel. If you have read any of my other posts you will no it is no secret that I love Rimmel.

For me Rimmel is one of the best drugstore brands. It is affordable and doesn't overcharge on anything. Almost all of their products are high quality and work amazing.

Rimmel was actually the first makeup brand I tried and it will probably always be one of my favorites. One o…

Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation - Is it really that good?

Hello everyone

Today I am reviewing a foundation that has recently been circling the beauty community and various beauty youtubers and bloggers have been raving about this foundation. I personally had never used a max factor foundation so I was very skeptical about trying this foundation.

Available here

First off I got this foundation as I heard about how much people were loving the foundation and I wanted to see if I could be one of those people. I got it whilst it was currently on offer at Superdrug for £8 which was a saving of around £3.

This foundation is brightening okay, it lumizines the skin and makes it look all healthy and glowy. But for me it doesn't do this in a nice way. I have fairly okay skin I have oily parts and a bit of acne but nothing major.

I was expecting the foundation to have a medium coverage and honestly it has a light coverage but if you build it up enough it can almost be a medium coverage. For me the biggest problem was the brightening of it as I found t…
