Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Brand Focus - MUA

Hello everyone

Today I am doing a brand focus post on MUA. I have been controversial brand for me there have been products I have loved and products I have hated. MUA is a makeup brand that has affordable products such as foundations, mascara and nail polish.

I have tried a few of their products and generally they have been good. I will be mentioning 3 of the products I have been really impressed with from the brand

MUA Lipstick £1 - First off I am going to mention a lipstick which was the first product I had tried from MUA, which made me love the brand almost instantly. I originally had one in the shade Nectar which is a really bright almost coral lipstick, which would be best to use for Summer. I also picked up two more in the colors, they are more autumnal shades which are perfect for this time of year.

MUA Eyeliner £1 - Second product that I have been loving is an eyeliner they do, its the MUA intense color eyeliner in jet black. I have been trying this eyeliner out for a while and I absolutely love it, the color is very black and does not fade which is something I have noticed in the past with eyeliners. The eyeliner lasts on my eyes for about 5 hours which I know may not sound amazing but if you are only trying out eyeliner then this is perfect. Especially because it is only a £1 you can't really go wrong.

MUA Eyebrow Pen £1- I picked up this pencil when I wanted to try filling in my brows a bit as I wanted to see if I preferred using powder or pencil. Personally I prefer powder but this pencil was good to try with. The pencil is quite bold meaning that you only need a little to go a long way. For a pound you honestly can't complain it works at filling in your brows and the brush helps to put your brows in shape.

Overall, I am still mixed on this brand but there have been quite a few products I have loved from this range. If you have any products that you have tried then feel free to let me know in the comments.

On Wednesday I will be reviewing the Expert Face Brush from Real Techniques and on Friday I will be doing a brand focus on Natural Collection.

Thanks for reading!
