Birchbox 3 Months On

Image
Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Brand Review - Barry M

Hello everyone

This week I will be doing a brand review on Barry M. I have been an all round fan of Barry M for quite some time I am a huge fan of their nail polishes as well as a few other products. Barry M is a cheap and affordable brand available in most drugstores such as Boots and Superdrug.

I will be mentioning a few of their products that I have absolutely loved from the brand. All of the products are high quality and affordable. And are a lot better than some of the products I have tried compared to them.

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish £3.99 - This has been a nail polish that I have mentioned quite a lot on this blog but it is just a good one. It gives that gelly effect and does tend to last quite well. It does require 2 coats and it is always best if you apply a base coat underneath. If I was to compare this to Gellish nails which are more expensive but do last for several weeks the finish really is the same except Barry M doesn't last as long but is a better and cheaper alternative if you don't mind re-doing them when they chip.

Barry M Blink Precision Eyeliner £4.59 - This again has been an eyeliner that I have mentioned on this blog but I haven't really given it all its glory. The eyeliner works well especially considering it is a drugstore eyeliner I was not expecting it to work as well as it does. It is a very jet black which for me is a life saver considering they are normally not as dark and they can tend to be grey. It does not flake or smudge and lasts for quite a reasonable time. I do find that I have to touch it up near the end of the day if I am going to wear it that night but that is expected really.

Barry M Palette Natural £6.49 - This is a new discovery for me I had seen a few people picking this up and trying it and quite a lot of people liked it. I don't have the Urban Decay Naked Palette which is one thing I badly want so I decided to try this. The eye shadows are highly pigmented that are quite smooth on the eyes and blend nicely. They sit nice and do not move or smudge throughout the day. The blush is also pigmented and is perfect for me as it is slightly darker than my skin tone which works really well my skin. Overall I am really impressed with this palette and would definitely recommend this as an overall good palette.

Overall if you cannot tell I am a huge fan of Barry M the brand offers a variety of products which from the ones I have tried are very good. If you have any Barry M products that I have not mentioned that you have loved feel free to comment below them and I may even review them.

On Wednesday I will be reviewing the Rimmel Brow This Way brow gel and on Friday I will be doing my final Brand Review on Bourjois.

Thanks for reading!
