My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

JLo designed this? L'Oreal Color Riche Lipstick Review

I have always been a fan of L'Oreal. It has been the one makeup brand where I have managed to fall in love properly with there products. From their foundations to mascaras they don't have many products I could really fault. I recently picked up one of their celebrity lipsticks from the Color Riche collection. I picked up 'J'Lo's nude' which is a fairly deep nude shade.
After trying it for around 3/4 weeks I have practically fell in love with this. It gives off a matte finish, and the color pay off is great. It is a real 'your lips but better' shade that doesn't move or break throughout the day.
I am currently working so I always want my makeup to hold and not slip or move at least as possible during my shift as I don't really have the time to reapply it or fix it so any makeup products have to go under my 'work' test just to make sure they really stay on well. And this lipstick passes all the test.
I find that the lipstick can be drying at …

Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Moisturizer Review

I have combination skin, some days it can be great not a single blemish and hardly any oil. But recently my skin has become a lot more oilier and I have spots reoccurring every now and then. So I wanted to start treating my skin better, I repurchased some of my spot treatments and finally decided to change moisturizers.
After looking through Boots for about 15 minutes I came across the new range from Garnier their 'moisture match' moisturizers. There are 5 moisturizers from this range in total. Ranging from a moisturizer to battle oily skin and one to help wake up the skin. I picked up the Moisture Match Shine be gone mattifying moisturiser from the range.
The moisturiser has a weird texture at first it feels almost like a gel, with a cooling almost cucumber like scent. I found that you only really needed just more than a pea size amount however at times a lot of product would come out at once.
It takes around 2 minutes I would say for it to fully sink into the skin, I foun…

The new and improved infallible foundation? L'Oreal Infalliable Matte 24 Hour Foundation Review

I have never been a massive fun of the original L'Oreal Infallible 24 hour foundation. The foundation seems to feel almost sticky on the skin for a while before it properly sets in and the whole 24 hour promise just goes right out of the window. Then I heard the news that L'Oreal had just brought out a matte version of the infallible 24 hour foundation. So when I saw this in Boots not so long ago I was intrigued, was this going to be the same as the previous infallible foundation or with this being matte may it last longer on the skin?

The foundation comes in 6 shades which is slightly disappointing considering the L'Oreal True Match Foundation comes in over 10 shades. I picked up the shade Vanilla which appeared to be slightly light for my skin but I managed to make it look right by applying a little bit of bronzer like I do anyway.

Application- the foundation goes on pretty smooth on the skin. It doesn't feel too heavy nor does it seems to drag across the skin like a …

Does this mascara really hold a curl? - Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara Review

Mascara, possibly for me one of my must haves when it comes to makeup. I personally like voluminous lashes, and I have gone through so many mascaras trying to find the perfect one and I have found a few gems recently and this has become my new favorite. It's the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara

I have tried various mascaras from Maybelline before and I have always found that they have given my lashes volume but they never hold for longer than around 5 hours which for someone like me who is in college I don't want to be running to the bathroom to top up my makeup all the time.

So, when I picked up this one I was a little skeptical. I had read so many views saying it was good and some saying it was pretty average so I decided to pick it up in waterproof as I found that at times my mascara would smudge so I decided to see how effective it was.

First off the packaging, I have never been a full on lover of Maybelline's bright mascara packaging for me it just high…

July Favourites

This post is going to be fairly short (apologies.) I am currently on holiday for the next week and a bit and as much as I would love to just lie in the sun all day I knew that I still wanted to post whilst I am away.
So, since I am not near my laptop or anything from home. I was limited for ideas on what posts I could do as I pretty much doing all my posts for the next week off my phone.
Then it hit me, seeing as we are about 4/5 days into August why not do a little post mentioning some of the stuff I had been loving throughout July.
In terms of beauty I have been fairly adventurous (pats self on back.) I have fell in love with two products in particulaR.
First up and ultimately the clear winner in my impression the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara. I have been looking for a mascara that provided a lot of volume, that wouldn't flake or smudge throughout the day. And in all honestly I had never really fell in love with Maybelline mascaras. The waterproof ones ne…

Follow my blog with Bloglovin!

Hello everyone again,

My new Bloglovin account is now set up and running again:

So I'm back!

It feels like forever since I have written a blog post on here and from looking back at all my old posts I came to realize that I missed blogging a lot.

I've had a lot going on for the past few months such as college and family. General life really and I just lost the motivation to post and I hated being inconsistent so I decided to take a break and see what happened. And a few months later and I've missed it so much.

I tried to make another blog, a fresh start I guess but in reality I didn't want to leave this one. So i will be transferring my Day to day face post onto this blog and from this post, (00:10 on August 2nd) I am going to be writing a lot more posts because I want to start being consistent again.

My plan for the time being is to get two posts out a week, I don't want to be milking out any that I don't like so for me 2 posts a week is good.

And they are gonna be different, although I will do a review each week but the second post hopefully will be s…

Day to Day - Makeup

Day to day face,

I'm at that teenager stage of life, where my skin decides to change every two seconds and I have about 3 days within each month where my skin is good. So this post explains what makeup I wear everyday in attempt to make my face look a lot better.
First off, primer. Sometimes I feel like I don't necessarily need a primer but for the past month I have been using a primer everyday and I have noticed a difference massively in how my makeup looks with and without a primer. The primer I have currently been trying is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer. This primer claims to extend the wear of foundation for up to 8 hours. From what I have seen this primer has definitely helped the longevity of my foundation, but for up to 8 hours is debatable.
Foundation, after I have applied my primer and it has sunk into my skin it is on to foundation, I have recently been using the L'Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Matte foundation in the shade Vanilla (11.) This foundation has been a fa…
