My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Product Empties

I don't normally do these types of posts as by the time I come to finishing a product I normally just bin it and re-purchase it. A lot of the products that I don't get the chance to review just end up being loved and loved without actually mentioning it. So I am going to be mentioning some of my favorite products, most of which I have probably already mentioned but a few different ones that haven't appeared yet on my blog.
The first empty which is probably the one of the longest lasting products

for me is a lipstick. Going back to around this time last year I mentioned that I was obsessed with this lipstick. It's the Topshop lipstick in the shade 'Naturist' it has a slight almost purple/nude tint to it making it darker than your average nude, a perfect shade to wear in Autumn if you don't want to brave a bold purple lip. After using it quite a lot this year I am pretty much at the nub with it. Somewhere the gods must have heard me as I previously mentioned t…

The two essential outfits for Autumn

Autumn, the time to pull out your scarves and ankle boots and take in all the leaves falling and the chilly weather about to arrive. For me Autumn is the one season I feel comfortable in, I can wear my over-sized 'i feel like a pimp coat' without feeling like the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. I can pull out my ankle boots and turtlenecks as I keep warm and still manage to look good, and without having to break the bank either!

When it comes to outfits in Autumn I look for two things, comfort and warmth. But still looking fashionable is a side part. I am going to be mentioning two outfits that I am in love with for Autumn. To keep the cost down I am going to be re-wearing some bits of clothing as they pretty much work with all the outfits.

1. Turtleneck, boots in check - This outift is my most weared one out of the two, I can wear this for anything really and still manage to keep warm and look fashionable. Compared to the two outfits this is the 'safer' outfit, I normally…

Powder that stays put? - Seventeen Stay Time Powder

Powders have never really been my specialty, I tend to find a good one and stay with that for a long time. I don't want to be trying other powders when I know I have one that works I am not really interested in trying others.

But on a recent definitely not needed trip to Boots I did pick up this powder to try. It's the Seventeen Stay Time Pressed powder, I picked this up in Fair. The powder claims to fix your foundation in place, recommending to use a brush for lighter application or using a sponge which is something I haven't heard a lot. I tend to just use a powder brush as for me it is a lot easier.

The range offers two shades, which is quite disappointing as I had to pick up the lightest shade out of the range even though I am fairly tanned at the moment and even that seemed to be just about right. The powder comes in a small little container, there isn't a brush or a mirror provided which is like most powders nowadays. But comparing this to the Rimmel Stay Matte pow…

The Liebster Award

Around a year ago, I got nominated twice for the liebster award. This is a little 'award' for blogs that have a fairly small following, allowing you to connect more with the blogger who nominated you. And with other people as well.

The rules are simple:
Thank the blogger that nominated you (Thank you,Elle!) Include the Liebster Award logo. Nominate up to 10 new bloggers with fewer than 200 followers Answer the 10 questions posed to you by the nominator. Make 10 questions of your own to be answered by your nominees. So here are the questions Elle gave me: 1. What do you struggle with most when it comes to blogging? Timing, there are weeks when I have the time to write 3 or 4 posts. But there can be weeks like this one when I don't have time to do future posts because I have too much work to do or other reasons. 2. What is your guilty pleasure? Honestly, it's probably my music taste. I am quite heavily into the Pet Shop boys. A very rare fact I don't tell many people in fact! 3.…

The New Blog Design

If you haven't been able to tell yet then my blog is definitely different, I had gotten tired really of the way it looked and just wanted something different.

After looking at several blogs, collecting ideas, deciding on what colors I wanted. I decided to go for simplicity, and as monochrome is one of my favorite combinations I chose to stick with that. Previously my blog just looked messy, there was too much to look at one just one page.

For me, I felt like it didn't represent me, although it had the hint of colour that was a nice touch. It just lacked my style. I still have a few things I want to tweak with as we go along but for the time being I'm very happy. It doesn't appear to be too crowded anymore and the sophisticated edge has finally been added.

I know this isn't my usual post but I wanted to just explain why my blog had just randomly changed within a day.

                        Until next time, Chloe!

Face Mask From Heaven - Lush Mask of Magnaminty Review

Face masks have been a growing love from mine, I find it an essential to apply one at least once a week as a way of refreshing my skin again. I always tend to go for ones towards acne, helping to reduce my spots as well as calming them down.

From tea tree masks to clay ones I have picked up many favorites along the way, and this one is my next favorite. It's the Lush Mask of Magnaminty, infused with peppermint. This mask claims to 'fight outbreaks in order to help return your skin to tip top condition'.

As always it is recommended to apply an even layer of this onto the face and leave it to set for around 10-15 minutes. I tend to sometimes keep it on for a little bit longer if I am having a bath as well or if I am focusing on something else. Then you just simply rinse it off, now here is my little input this mask can get very messy. So when removing it I suggests using a flannel or a muslin cloth just something that you can wipe it off with otherwise your sink and everythin…

Is It Worth The Money? - La Roche-Posay Anti-Imperfection Correction Cream Review

I have never really had that flawless perfect skin. Since I was around 13/14 I started to get spots. Now I don't mean massive breakouts just the occasional one, however I would always end up being left with quite bad scarring every time.
I tried quite a lot of remedies at the time but nothing seemed to work that well, hoping that time would just heal the scars I left it. Now at 17 I still have the scars but they are not as bad as they used to be.
I just don't have the confidence to go bare around where the scarring is. So I have been testing out several products to try and see what has worked. And after trying about 4 or 5 out I have managed to find one that did actually help quite a lot.
This is the La Roche Posay Anti-perfection correction cream. This is a light cream that you massage into the face day and night. And gradually over time this is meant to reduce scaring and help to brighten your face back to its old self.
Now, whenever it comes to skincare I always like to test…

That Perfect Autumn Lip Pencil - Kiko Smart Lip Pencil Review

I was never in that Kylie Jenner big lips faze, the lip liner and lipstick duo was never really my kinda thing. However, since that trend started I have become more and more interested in the idea of lip liners.
Deciding to break out of my shell, I went and looked around Kiko whilst I was on holiday in August and picked up this 'Smart Lip Pencil' in the Shade Light Plum 711. This is a perfect Purple/Red shade that I thought would look great in the Winter.

The lip pencil claims to have a smudge-proof hold, helping to define lips with or without using a lipstick as well. In my opinion I find that works much better on its own rather than pairing it with a lipstick.
The colour pay off is great, it creates a fairly deep purple/burgundy shade that reminds me slightly like an MUA Lipstick I featured in last years Autumn Lipsticks post. The lip liner has a matte finish which is a nice touch especially for it being more of an Autumn shade.
I find that it tends to last around 3 hours bef…

My Beautiful Burberry - My Burberry Review

Perfumes have never really been my thing. I always used to forget about them really, just leave them on the side until they pile up again at Christmas. Managing to use them about 10 times a year, after I noticed how many perfumes I had. I finally realised that it is seriously about time I really started using them.

But after falling in love with Loverdose by Diesel I wanted something that had a bit more of a traditional/classical scent. After spending quite a bit of time in Debenhams and having almost every single part of my arms covered in different perfumes. I finally found the one.

This little gem is My Burberry by Burberry. I have always been an admirer of the brand, they have a classical/old fashioned style which I adore. The bottle is cute and simple, with a little beige bow, with quite a regal/50's decor lid the bottle just screams sophistication.

The perfume has notes of rose and Sweet pea. However, there is an underlying base of spices that give the scent this autumn edge t…
