Taking Part in Blogmas!

Image
This is the first year of me being seriously committed to blogging. And with December beginning tomorrow I wanted to set myself a challenge.

I'm taking part in Blogmas, where you have to do a post right up til Christmas. So 25 days straight of posts.

Offering a mix of posts from beauty to Christmas traditions I hope this is a successful year of Blogmas.

                                           Until tomorrow's post, Chloe!

H&M New Makeup Range - Eyeshadow Review

Image
H&M have just recently launched their own makeup range, like a lot of other clothing brands such as Topshop they are branching out into the makeup world. Compared to shops such as Topshop and New Look their makeup range is much bigger. Almost the size of a stand at Superdrugs or Boots.

Featuring foundations to nail polishes there is something in their collection for everything. The one thing that I was most impressed with is how many products they have. They have full collections of lipsticks, eyeliner, foundations, powders etc. The lot basically. It is clear a lot of thought has gone into all of this.

I was overwhelmed by all the choice they have so I have decided to focus on their products section to section. So on my first time I have only picked up two of their High Impact eye shadows just to try and a concealer brush. They had over 30 shades to choose from, greens to grey they had everything.

First off before I mention the two I picked up, I am in love with all the packaging. T…

The Christmas Gift Guide - Stocking Filler for Him

Image
When it comes to boys/men I am not the best person for gifts. Allow I am getting much better at is I have been looking at all the different gifts there are on websites such as Not on the high street I have managed to find four presents that would be ideal as a little stocking filler for him.

First up is the gift for the food lovers, now this is off my new found love website Not on the high street. For stocking fillers I like the idea of novelty gifts. My first one is the World's Hottest Chili Powders in a matchbox, this features four of the hottest chili powders out there. Perfect for the spicy food lovers. Priced at only £6 this is the perfect little present for a food lover.

Next up, for the travellers. Now this is more of a couples present however, the idea of it is still good for this. Also from Not on the high street its the Personalised Travel Journey. Customization for couples or for just one person you can track all your travels, leaving photos, dates, moments etc from eit…

This Will Reduce Your Spots Overnight - InstaNatural Skin Clearing Spot Treatment

Image
Note: I received this product for free for my honest and unbiased feedback

I like most people nowadays suffer from acne. Mine luckily is not as severe as it could be but I still tend to get a lot of spots break out at once. Meaning that when that does happen I need a treatment that will work fast, getting rid of them as quickly as possibly.

So when InstaNatural offered me the chance to try some of their products I was more than happy to try out their Skin clearing spot treatment. Containing salicylic acid one of the key ingredients to removing spots. This treatment is meant to leave skin looking healthy and balanced whilst removing those pesky spots.

It recommends to use the treatment with a cotton swab, dabbing it lightly into the jar. I like to do this using a cotton swab, dabbing a bit of the treatment onto each spot individually just to make sure that it is getting every spot.

I found that after just using this for one night when I woke up the next morning, all the redness around …

MAC Dupes - Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick Collection

Image
Makeup Revolution has been a brand I have never really looked at. After seeing the launch of their iconic pro lipsticks I decided I needed to try them.

The brand famous for making high street dupe makeup, its latest launch is a Mac Dupe lipstick collection, featuring 20 shades ranging from nudes to reds there should be a shade for everyone. For the mean time I only picked up two of their new shades out of the line: Absolutely Flawless and You're a star.

Absoluetly Flawless - This is more of a peachy nude for me. Compared to You're a star it is the lighter one out of the two. I find that it has a very creamy texture to it, similar to the Mac creme lipsticks, leaving a creamy finish I find that this is perfect to wear on days when I want a bit more of a pink tint to my lips as it is more of a pink/peach colour rather than a nude.

Yes the packaging is rose gold (cries inside)

You're a star - This is personally my favorite out of the two. Offering a matte finish this is the one I …

The Mud Mask You Need - InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask

Image
Note : I received this product for free for my honest and unbiased feedback

Face masks as you can see from my blog have been a growing love of mine, I am always on the look for the mask that will help my skin the most. Tackling my oily skin, leaving my skin feeling clean like it always should.

When I got the opportunity to work with Insta Natural, trying out a variety of their products I was more than delighted to try out the Dead Sea Mud Mask.

The one thing that shocked me the most about this was how much you actually get. I was expecting a small pot like the little ones Lush do but oh no it was a 500g tub filled right to the top. As you can probably guess I was already pretty happy.

It recommends to use the product once a week just to stop your face from drying out, applying a thing generous layer leaving it to set for 10 to 15 minutes.

I normally tend to put one of these on when I have something to do that may take a while such as college work etc. I found that it normally took arou…

The Eye Gel That Does It All - InstaNatural Youth Express Eye Gel

Image
Note: I received this product for free for my honest and unbiased feedback

Eye gels have been the one skincare product I have wanted to really get into. I suffer from really puffy eyes when ever I don't get a lot of sleep. And with college and work getting very close this has been happening on a daily basis now.

So I was more than ecstatic when InstaNatural got in contact with me offering me the chance to review some of their products. One of them being the InstaNatural Youth Express Eye gel. This can be used as an eye and face treatment which for me is perfect as I don't use any serums or day/night creams.

You do tend to get quite a bit when you use the pump so I tend to apply it mainly around my eyes and then focusing on key parts of my face such as my forehead, cheeks, and then around my mouth as sometimes I notice that my smile tends to leave 'smile lines.'

It takes just under a minute for it to skin into the skin fully, it doesn't feel sticky and it leaves m…

The Highlighter Palette You Will Fall For

Image
Highlighters have never really been my thang. I was always terrified to apply highlighter, walk outside and look as if I had been involved in a glitter fight. But when I saw this palette, I decided I might as well give it a try for £10

This is the Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette. Now first off the packaging, oh my it has a gold almost rose gold hint to it. This is my opinion makes it look slightly more expensive to it. the palette comes with 4 highlighters ranging from cream to full shimmer.

The packaging for the product has instructions on the back of the box as to where you should apply each shade. I found that for me this was extremely useful as I didn't have a full clue when I first looked at this palette.

My favorite highlighter in this palette that I want to start off with is Equinox, this is a bronze type shimmer that I like to apply just on my cheekbones. This settles in nice with my bronzer leaving my face with a natural subtle glow. Hemisphere is another one of my favo…

The Christmas Gift Guide - Stocking Fillers for her

Image
It feels weird to me that at the beginning of November I am planning all my Christmas posts. Even though Christmas is only over 30 days away I still feel so early for it! But truth be told I have already gone out and bought my Christmas bedding so I'm starting to get the Christmas theme going now.

I am going to be splitting the posts into categories: stocking fillers, main presents, and then any other products that have caught my eye this year. I will be doing separate ones for boys and girls and one post specifically on couples.

First up is the stocking fillers for her. I didn't want to overcrowd this so I chose two makeup products, skincare, and then a novelty alternative. However, these are only a few of the things I have picked out as there are hundreds I could mention but I wanted to chose ones that either had tried personally or know are quality products to be giving this year.

Moving into makeup I am introducing you to one of the newest edition to the Sleek collection, …

The shampoo you would die for

Image
Shampoos are something I don't normally change often. I tend to find something that works and stay with that. However, around the summer time there was this new release of the Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo. And after seeing so many people rave about them I had to go and pick one up.

For around 4 months I have been testing the Sleek Restorer out of their range. Designed for dry to frizzy hair. It is enriched with coconut oil and cocoa butter and honestly my hair has never smelt better.

I normally apply this allowing it to nourish my hair for about two minutes then wash it out following with conditoner. It always leaves my hair feeling soft and sleek, even without using my conditioner. The texture is similar to a hair oil just slightly thicker. I personally like the texture as it doesn't feel as if it is weighing my hair down.

This shampoo is avaliable in Boots, Superdrug, as well as most Supermarkets and available online. There is also a matching conditioner and does come in…

The £4 Wonder Brush

Image
Brushes aren't a product that I tend to review on here. I normally tend to just stick to certain brushes, re-purchasing them when needed. But recently I started to look around more, I wanted a stippling brush as the Real Techniques one for me is just too small. The bristles don't really have any movement so it can take an age sometimes to do my makeup. If I have a free day I don't mind using it but if I have college or work where I only have a limited time It just isn't practical for me.

Any stippling brushes that I have used always leave a good finish, that was the one thing I was looking for as my buffing brush has become worse for wear. So after spending a bit of time online searching various websites I found one in the one shop I would never have looked. Wilko's, now for those of you who aren't from the UK this is a shop that sells anything really. From homeware to household goods, it is similar to Target especially as everything is from bigger brands its j…

October Favorites - Clothes and Music

Image
Throughout October I have been sticking to the similar styles of clothes, any that will keep me warm and comfy. If you have read my Essential Autumn Outfits posts then you would have already seen one of these outfits. But at the moment my main fashion love this month has been turtleneck especially this one from Primark for £5. This has to be one of the comfiest turtlenecks I have had in a long time, it does take a little getting used to begin with however now I find it to be so comfy and warm I never want to take it off!

You can wear this with most outfits, I mainly wear it with skirts but you can wear it with jeans as well.

In terms of music I have fell in love with several artists throughout this month. First of is Years and Years, these have been my loves since around March. Their album Communion is a serious recommendation for anyone who likes electronic/funky music. My favorite song off their album is possibly Ties as I like the seriousness of the lyrics but the electronic pop be…

October Favorites - Makeup & Skincare

Image
October has been a fast month for me, it seems like only yesterday I was saying goodbye to September and now here is the goodbye of October and hello to November. I am going to be splitting this up into two separate parts again as it can get quite lengthy otherwise. This is going to be a mixture of makeup, skincare, fashion, and music so here we go with the makeup and skincare.

First up - makeup. There are three products that I have been loving throughout the month. First up is an eyeshadow palette from MUA. This the Elysium palette that comes with 10 shades that allow you to transform your look from day to night. This palette features a collection of mattes and glitters, ranging from neutral to dark this palette has been my essential through this month. I am particularly loving the shades Air, Charm, and Refine as they help to create this very subtle smoky eye. Seeing as smoky eyes are not in my expert list yet I want to practice with something a little bit delicate rather than going …
