My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

A big thank you

Christmas is when I spend time with my family and remove myself from the Internet for a day. As great as it is I feel like we all need at least one day away from it all. But before I disappear for the day I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

And also to say thanks, to every reader, follower, comment. The lot of you. Without all of you my passion for beauty wouldn't have been shared to as many people as possible. I hit 50,000 views two days ago which to some may seem small but this was a wake up call for me. That when I have that determination and can plan posts out it pays off well.

There have been times when I have spent hours writing a post for it to barely get any views, but at times like this I realize that to 50,000 of you. My opinion and voice has been heard.

So again a massive thank you and I can't wait to share my next post with you all

                                                                          Until next time, Chloe!

December 25th - Christmas Day Face

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has a good day and gets all the presents that they asked for. Today Christmas day will be focused around my family, I don't get to see them an awful lot so I don't want to be spending ages in my room getting ready.

I wanted to show you the makeup look I am wearing today, similar to the Winter Red Lip look this is still a daytime look just with a little shimmer for that touch of Winter.

Starting off with the base I am using the NYX Shine Killer Primer, I have only just started using this but I am impressed so far. Moving onto Foundation I am currently testing out the N07 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico. This helps to create a flawless finish onto my face.

For concealer I am using the La Girl Pro Concealer in Medium, using a beauty blender I like to dab this on any blemsishes and the under eye area. Then blend it in using the beauty blender.

For bronzer I am using the Makeup Revolution Vivid Bronzer in the shade Golden Days, this…

December 24th - Christmas Eve Traditions

Now that it is just one day away from Christmas. I am beyond excited, it finally fully feels like Christmas. Every Christmas Eve I like to do the similar sort of thing. Now is the first year that I am working on Christmas Eve so my day has been cut in half really.

But the first thing I will be doing when I get back in running a bath. Christmas eve is like the day where I can relax before Christmas Day and then the Boxing Day sales start at work. I haven't decided to use a bath bomb but instead I have been using the Radox Bath Therapy Muscle Soak Hetbal Bath Salts. This is a 400g box so you are already getting a good amount.

I normally tend to just whilst my bath is beginning to run, add a few of these in and mix them around. This helps to scent my bath as well as removing that gritty residue from the salts. This helps to leave me feel relaxed and I like to use this is I feel unwell or just feel sore. And for only £1 I can't really argue.

I also like to add a bit of shower gel som…

December 23rd - Concealer Palette You Should Skip

Now I didn't want to put any negative posts during Blogmas. However, it's more of a mixed review. I am always trying out new concealers and when Collection released their new concealer palette I was already madly in love.

Collection are a small drugstore makeup brand that are famous for their Lasting Perfection concealer, So after falling in love with at least one of their products. I decided to go ahead and try their #ConcealAndLightLikeAPro concealer palette.

This features 8 shades, ranging from highlighters to green concealers. This has everything for everyone. I am quite happy with the shades, I can mix the tones to create my ideal shade which I have absolutely no problem with.

They provide a good finish on the skin and do help to conceal some of my blemishes as well as highlighting parts of my face.

But the consistency of these are poor, for some reason since the second I swatched all the shades on the back of my hand. The palette just dried out. Now I normally use a wet b…

December 22nd - The £6.99 Mascara You Need

The one makeup essential I can't live without is mascara. I like my eyes to look big, mascara and eyeliner help to transform my face making my eyes appear a lot brighter.

I am constantly testing out new mascaras, trying to find the best ones that help to give my lashes volume without flaking. And after testing this one out for a few months I have found my favorite one so far. It is The Colossal Go Extreme Leather Black mascara from Maybelline.

Claiming to give extreme volume effect with the double plump wand. This has become a necessity for me. I normally like to shape my eyelashes using a standard mascara beforehand as it can sometimes clump all my lashes together.

But when all my lashes are separated this creates a beautiful voluminous look, it doesn't flake throughout the day. Nor does it run either so trust me this is cry proof - tried and tested.

My main thing I love about this is that it is only £6.99, compared to more expensive mascaras from the drugstore this is the bes…

December 21st - Christmas Candle

When it comes to Christmas, I really like to go all out. One thing I have been doing a lot this year is finally using my candles. One in particular that I have been loving recently is the Marks and Spencer's Scent of Christmas scented candle.

Claiming to burn for up to 55 hours this is the perfect candle to burn this Winter. Starting off with the design, it is simple and modern, with the lid having a little Christmas tree on it this helps to really transform the candle.

The scent it gives off is amazing, it is a mix between Cinnamon and Winter spices. Creating a nice Winter scent to my room.

I normally go for sweeter scents such as the Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie but I find this to not be too powerful which is why I have began to love it so much.

                                     Until next time, Chloe!

December 20th - Mac Velvet Teddy

This Christmas with finally having my own hard earned money. I decided to get a little Christmas present to myself. With reading up about great recommendations I went for the lipstick from Mac I have been after for centuries. Velvet Teddy

I can see now why this is a popular one around the makeup world. It's just beautiful, it reminds me a lot of my Kiko Rebels Romantic Lipstick however this is much lighter.

It gives off a darker nude look which I have been after for a while as I have noticed since sorting out all my makeup, that I am somehow (checks latest boots and Superdrug purchases) collecting more and more nude lipsticks that look too similar.

This has a matte finish which doesn't feel too drying nor does it feel sticky. And as with almost all of MAC lipsticks it has that all day lasting power. I would recommend if you are eating during the day with this on to just give it a little touch up. And for £15.50 this is more than good for the price.

But apart from that I am ve…

December 19th - Festive Time with Lush

Lush has become one of my favorite stores, I walk in there all the time with temptation to buy every single product they do. From the presentation to the scents it always looks amazing. So seeing as it is the Christmas time I thought it was only right to purchase something from their Christmas collection.

I picked up the Father Christmas Bath Bomb, now first off can we just appreciate how cute this looks. This is the perfect bath bomb for anyone who likes sweet scents as it smells exactly like Candyfloss.

When put into the bath it starts to go to red, but then changes into green. Although not everyone wants to be in a green bath, the aroma this creates it beautiful.

After getting out the bath I still smelt like candyfloss the next morning and my skin felt so smooth. I don't have any negatives about this product at all, it works and has a great scent there isn't much more you could want.

And for only £3.65 this won't break the bank either, so if you are wanting a gorgeous s…

December 18th - How to survive Christmas on little spends with Boots

Sometimes Christmas can become an expensive time. With many people to buy for, secret Santa's all the presents you have to get for people you didn't even know knew your name.

At times like this I like to rely on offers, it's the best way to get quality gifts for half the price it should be.
Lots of shops have thousands of deals on at the moment. Boots famous 3 for 2 is back again featuring a lot of products from Soap and Glory.
Soap and Glory are usually a fairly expensive brand compared to others in the drugstore. But Christmas is the perfect time to stock up on their products. They do sets involving full sized products which work out being half the price if you bought all the products together. One in particular is the
The Soap and Glory Soaper Star for just £20 you get two full size products. Including the SOAP & GLORY CLEAN ON ME Moisture Shower Gel SOAP & GLORY THE SCRUB OF YOUR LIFE Body Buffer , SOAP & GLORY THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER Body Butter, SOAP & GL…

December 17th - Winter Bodycare Essentials

With the cold weather hitting, I have noticed a drastic change in my skin. Instead of having that healthy glow my skin just looks pale, I am getting dry skin constantly on my arms. So to help battle the cold and keep my natural glow to my skin.

One of the products that I have been using is the Soap and Glory Clean Girls skin softening creamy body wash. Infused with Vanilla and Magnolia this has a calming scent to it. It creates a rich lather than when washed off leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

After using a body wash I like to use either a body scrub or body butter. Seeing as it's getting cold I don't want to be stood out of the shower applying a scrub when I could use a body butter. So for the time being I have been using another product by Soap and Glory it is their Righteous Butter Body moiturizer. This has quite a sweet scent to it, infused with Shea butter this always helps to leave my skin looking soft. I find that this sometimes helps to give my skin a subtle glo…

December 16- Winter Party Oufit

With the Christmas parties approaching, it is quite easy to just get into the rush and just buy any old thing. When I'm looking for a going out outfit I want comfort, but also to look damn well good. I don't want to be sat there freezing the whole night nor do I I have been wearing on nights out. Nor do I want to be melting. So I have decided to share with you one of my outfits that

Starting off with the top, this is an off the shoulder style which just makes this top look that little bit more dressier. As it is just
plain Burgundy I didn't want something that just looked like an everyday top so the cut effect makes it really stand out. This is Asos and was only £14 and this is a top I could also wear in Summer so for me this was a steal.
Next is a skirt I have featured a lot on here, it's my black asymmetric skirt from H&m. With the asymmetric slit across the skirt this can transform this plain black skirt into day or night. It also helps to make me look that little b…

December 15th - Christmas Night Nails

So to tie in with my Christmas outfit posts, I wanted to show you a Christmas night nail look I have been wearing for the past couple of weeks. Now when it comes to Christmas the main colours are usually red, green, white etc.

When it comes to nails I want them to match with most of what I wear on a daily basis, so instead of going for the traditional Christmas. I have gone for a more glitzy rose gold and pink look.

For the base I am going to be using the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy in the Shade Perfect Pair (532) this is a perfect little nude pink. I am not normally a fan of pink but this is quite a neutral beige like shade. I am in love with the gel envy range by Revlon, every shade offers a gelish like look to it. And considering this nail polish is much cheaper (£6.99) than getting actual gel nails done. I am fairly impressed

I usually apply two coats of this and then move onto the glitter. To make my nails look a little bit more special I decided to add a bit of glitter to them. And…

December 14th - Setting Spray Saviour

For me when it comes to makeup I want it all to last. I won't pay the price if it won't last all day. Sadly the 24 hour claim never really tends to work with a lot of products so the main things I look for are setting sprays.

I don't always have time to do a quick touch up so sometimes, that little help is needed. After noticing that my makeup was starting to slip out of place a little bit I picked up the L'Oreal Infalliable Pro-Spray and set makeup extender setting spray.

Designed to be used after makeup, providing a micro-fine texture this is the perfect little setting spray to use. For me I found that after a few weeks of testing this with and then without a powder on top. It does help my makeup to look better if I use the powder. However, it keeps my makeup stay in place all day.

Even though I would still like to have a little touch up, this does the job at keeping it in place and hides away any oiliness that may have crept through my makeup. The best way to use th…

December 13th - Top Winter Makeup Products

With the weather getting colder and colder, I wanted to make sure that my makeup stayed looking in tip top condition. So as well as using my general favorites there have been two products that I have been adding into my routine recently that have helped my face combat this weather.

First up is a primer, now if you have never heard of this. You have been living under a very deep rock. It's the Benefit porefessional primer, known to minimize the appearance of pores. I bought this around the summertime, definitely taking advantage of Duty Free however, I used it once maybe twice as I was wearing just concealer or a light bb cream. There wasn't any real need to use it. Whereas now I have realized just how bad this cold weather makes my skin look. apart from my redness my pores look beyond big.

Now this doesn't get rid of your pores although that would be a miracle, it does help to mask them. By applying a small amount generously onto the face and allowing it to smooth in and s…

December 12th - The Cosy Winter Oufit

To me Winter is about a few things. Warmth, comfort, and still looking good. From trying various clothes I have put together my ideal Winter outfit. This has more of an Autumnal theme to it but it can be worn whenever.

Starting it off is a top, now I am a lover of Red and burgundy. So throughout Autumn and Winter I have been looking for tops and managed to pleasantly find so many. But one that has really caught my eye is this one. It has that preppy work look which to me is perfect as I do have to wear this for work sometimes. But it isn't so formal that I wouldn't be able to wear it for college. I particularly love the collar detail at the top, the black collar and sides really blends well with the burgundy. I wouldn't have been a fan if it was all the same colour. With the zip detail at the back this is perfect as I find the button up ones a pain sometimes especially if the button breaks, something I have had happen numerous times in the past. What surprised me the most w…

December 11th - Signature Winter Scents

Through December, my perfumes will constantly change. I want to be finishing off my perfumes at this stage. In the hopes that I can re-purchase the ones I have liked through the year as well trying any that I get at Christmas.

I have had 2 signature perfumes this year that I am getting towards the end of. The first one being the Diesel Loverdose perfume, this has a cinnamon sweet scent to it. Making it a perfect Autumn scent as it has that spice and sweet side to it. This is the perfect day perfume for me.

The second favorite was a luxury perfume for me, it is the My Burberry perfume. I have always been a lover of Burberry, seeing as I can only dream for now about that £800 coat that is calling my name from their stores. The perfume is a very close second. With quite an elegant powerful scent to it, I prefer to wear this mainly for special occasions as I don't want to just be wasting it.

These are just some of the scents I have been loving through Winter. If there are any accents tha…

December 10th - November Favorites

Now that we are fully into December I felt like it was the right time to share some of my favorite products that I have been using throughout the month of November.

Focusing on skincare, the first is an item that I have fell in love with recently. This is the Instanatural Spot Clearing Gel. I recently reviewed this and honestly this has been one of the only treatments that has helped my spots in the long run. After just one use this removed all the redness around my spots, improving the overall appearance of my skin. This is a luxury spot item which I know a lot of people don't like the idea of paying a lot. Which I completely agree with, but for the price of £17.95 you are getting a spot treatment that I can guarantee you works wonders.

Moving onto bases, I have fell in love with a primer through this month. It is the E.l.f Mineral Infused Primer. This aims to help smooth your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As well as creating a smooth base for your makeu…
