Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

December 9th - Cute Christmas Decorations

Decorating the Christmas tree is a tradition that has never got boring for me. Each year I will spend probably up to an hour sorting out the tree. I always try to make it look slightly different each year. But moving away from the decorations on my tree I wanted to decorate my room to really help capture the Christmas spirit.

These were all inexpensive items that I have picked up within the past year, the first things are these three decoration pieces from Matalan. I have never really looked at Matalan's home range but when I did the other day I was in love with all their Christmas stuff.

I have three hooks in my room that orginally had 3 canvases on but I wanted a change, something different just to shake things up a bit. Then I came across these 3. The star is possibly my favorite one out of the three. The monochrome theme is a love of mine at the moment, with that diy look to it this was the perfect little decoration to hang up in my room.

The second star I have is again another love, the fact that this is a lot smaller compared to the other star works well. I didn't want to have two things of the same size and then have my third decoration be tiny compared to both of them. Again with this one it has that diy look to it, and with it saying Love on it this could be used all year round. Not necessarily at Christmas. I think this was around £3 when I picked this up, for some reason none of the items from Matalan are showing up on their website.

And the last decoration is a bit of an obvious one for me, a C. Yes my name is Chloe so after seeing this in the shop with its vintage look to it I had to pick it up. And for only £2 I couldn't complain.

One of my last decorations is actually bedding, I was looking for some subtle Christmas bedding as I knew that an over the top one would not have looked right in my room. After coming across this one in Primark I knew I needed to have it. It has a ski design to it, with images of skate, mountains, ski's etc this creates the perfect Winter look to my room. And with it having a reversible pattern I can change it whenever I want. The main thing I love about this is how soft it is, it feels as if I am sleeping in a warm soft blanket everytime. And for only £13 (available in store only) this is definitely a bargain I couldn't miss out.

These are just a few of the things I have in my room to keep up with the festive times, is there anything you are also doing to keep up with the festive times. Feel free to comment them down below.

                                              Until next time, Chloe!
