Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

New Look - Lip Collection Review

I have noticed since getting a makeup organizer which has been one of the best Christmas presents I got this year. My lip collection has been just growing and growing. I have started to venture out more, discovering new brands and building my collection even more.

Now I am normally a sucker for makeup from clothing brands such as Topshop and H&M. So it was no surprise when New Look brought their makeup range out that I just had to pick up a few things. One of the first things I picked up was one of their gift sets, priced at £7.99 it included a lipstick, lip liner, and lipgloss. £7.99 for all that doesn't sound too bad.

I am not normally a fan of lipglosses so I will be saving that one for a friend however the lipstick and lip liner are mine to keep. The lipstick in Mink (23) is this gorgeous dark almost nude pink shade. When applied onto my lips this creates a your lips but better look.

I always like to complete my lips with a lip liner, the one that they included in the set was the matching lip liner which is slightly darker than the lipstick. Which helps to compliment my lips and really give them shape.

Individually, the lip liners are priced at £1.99 which are more than value for money as they are creamy but leave a matte finish. The lipsticks also have the same finish, making them the perfect combination as one won't leave your lips feel dry or sticky. The lipsticks are priced at £3.99 which again isn't bad compared to the £8 Topshop charges.

And until they sell out you can actually pick up the set I bought for only £2.50 so go and get it whilst you can.

                                                    Until next time, Chloe!
