My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Body Shop Honey and Oat 3 in 1 Moisturising Scrub Mask Review

I normally go to the Body Shop around Christmas time. Picking up a few of their Christmas bundles and then back again the year later. But after getting an email about some of their offers I ended up picking up a few things. Including this the Body Shop Honey and Oat 3 in 1 Moisturising Scrub Mask.

The honey works to nourish and soften the skin whilst the oats gently polish your skin getting it back into it's top condition. It is recommended to use this 2 to 3 times a week applying a generous layer for about 10 minutes.

I will admit here it doesn't smell the nicest. It has almost an apple scent to it with the oats mixed in to it. In terms of how it actually feels on the skin it definitely has that exfoliator scrub feel. Definitely apply a thin layer of this as it does come out quite thick due to all the oats that are in this.

After leaving this on for 10 minutes my skin feels clean however I always felt that it made my skin feel heavy. Like I needed another mask to remove the residue. I tried it for a week without using any other masks and I had this feeling for the whole week. Then for the next two weeks I used this twice in the week on Monday and then Saturday but used my garnier Clay masks on the Wednesday to try and break it up. And this made a huge difference to my skin. In terms of exfoliating my skin it is very light at this which for a mask you can use several times a week I'm not disappointed by.

In terms of polishing my skin I'm not convinced, I find that this doesn't do an awful lot for my skin apart from gently exfoliating my skin.

Overall am I blown away by the full product? No not really. Do I think I would use this in my skincare routine? Absolutely. It may not be the best for polishing my skin but as a gentle exfoliator to refresh my skin after a long week I would definitely enjoy using this. The mask retails for £11 which for The Body Shop and a majority of exfoliating masks is a little more than the average cost. I don't mind paying that a little bit extra because I know that it is gentle and doesn't react badly to my skin.

Body shop have a lot of natural products that they are introducing each day so for that extra couple of pounds you could really be helping your skin out. I am still going through and testing some of the other products from my order. But a review will be up soon on one of their body scrubs that I have now bought 4 of just to stock up on.

                                  Until next time, Chloe!
