The £11 Full Coverage Foundation

Image
When it comes to foundations, full coverage is something a lot of people strive for nowadays. Having that flawless acne and problem free face is the look that has taken a storm through social media. A lot of people are having to resort to paying for the hughstreet foundations that claim to give you that airbrushed flawless effect. But to help you save a bit of money and not feel guilty for spending £20+ on a foundation I have found an £11 one that with a good brush or beauty blender the full coverage can be there.

After hearing GlamLifeGuru raving about the Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer £11 I had to try it, I managed to pick it up on BeautyBay as well as one of their eyeshadow palettes. May I say now that I would definitely try to find swatches of each shade rather than just choosing one that might look like a match just based off their images. As I picked up the lightest shade they have online at the moment 2 Natural which is beyond too dark for me. I have…

Caring For Your Skin In The Cold

Image
As the nights are drawing in, each morning is becoming colder and colder by the day. I am having to cling onto my winter coat and scarf to battle the weather now that we are getting into Winter. Around this time it can seem a bit of an unconvince to spend a lot of time at night or in the morning have to do a skincare routine when all you want to do is just stay in your warm bed for those few more minutes.

Once we get into every season I tend to tailor my skincare routine to that particular time, whether it be nice and warm or cold and icy. I am going to be sharing with you today the routine I go through day and night to help protect my skin from the cold.

First: Cleanser- in the morning I tend to use the Garner Mineral Oil Infused Water £3.99 on offer!, this is a new take on their most loved Micellar Water. I will be posting an in-depth review on this next week but so far I'm impressed with how quick this works. If you want efficiency oils are the best thing to use, they scrape dirt…

Halloween On The High Street

Image
Halloween is the one of my favourite times of the year, from the costumes to the weather. To the pure effort people will go to, what is nice to see is that more and more shops are getting involved with the Halloween spirit nowadays. So let's take a look at some of the best places for you to get into the Halloween spirit.

First up is Primark, now I wasn't really surprised by Primark as they tend to get really into any trend or event that is mainstream at the moment. Their halloween range features clothes to beauty products to even something for children. In terms of fashion their isn't much specifically for Halloween for men and women but they have brought out a lot of velvet and lace outfits that can be transformed into Halloween costumes. Their is the odd accessory here and there which I am not that impressed with, they look cheap and not well thought out. More like something you would get for your child rather than for yourself. What they really push the boat out with is…

Soap And Glory Student Event Manchester

Image
If you haven't seen over social media recently the Soap and Glory Bus has been going across Universities around the Uk to spread the Soap and Glory brand around. I was fortunate enough to have the day off from Uni and Work so I popped down to the one they were holding at my University in Manchester.

Before even reaching the bus properly I could see balloons, a slide, the soap and glory girls dressed in full. It was magical. There was toons of people everywhere around it, I was first greeted by one of the girls and handed the cutest little tub of pink popcorn staying true to the Soap and Glory brand it all had this vintage pin up girl feel to it.

I was first taken inside the Bus to reveal this neon pink fantasy place, on board the bus it was all decked with pink lettering and stickers all round. After being told that there was a Vip area at the top of the bus I ran up the stairs to be greeted by 3 lovely ladies who were doing Vip winners hair, there was braiding equipment and makeu…

Autumn Makeup Guide

Image
It is without a doubt that Autumn is one of my favourite seasons, from Halloween to the fact that's acceptable and seasonally appropriate to wear berry's and burgundy colours. I am here today to share with you some of my staple pieces for this Autumn in terms of makeup.

First up is the NYX Liquid Suede in Vintage £6.50, this is a beautiful deep red that I love now that we are getting into fall, this goes on really well I find that if you have to be quite precise to make sure that it doesn't run or bleed anywhere. Once it is on my lips the colour stays perfect all day and doesn't crumble or rub off when I eat or have a drink of something.

For a more neutral lip I have been loving the Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lip in Cashmere £14.50, this is a beautiful grey yet pink shade that works so well around this time. I have pairing this with a fairly extreme eye look as it helps to tone down my look. I have been loving this liquid lipstick for the past couple of months and I&#…

Is It Worth It? Sleek Colour Correcting Palette

Image
From baking, to highlighting, to strobing, to contouring, makeup trends have really stuck with the makeup community. We have those trends that seem to come and go but one that seems to be staying is colour correcting.

What is colour correcting you might ask? Well it is using cream or powder to help to enhance the look of your face. This is achieved by different colours being linked to different parts of your face or problem areas. Colour correcting is mainly done by a lot of makeup artists for photoshoots or fashion shows to get the most flawless possible but a lot of makeup brands such as MUA, Urban Decay, Nyx just to name a few have brought out their own colour correcting sets to help you achieve that flawless look yourself. Today I am reviewing the new Sleek Colour Correcting Palette.

This is a versatile palette that includes six liquid that work to neutralise, balance, enhance, and conceal anything you want on your face. It's recommended to apply this after priming before your …

Clinique Pep Start Event Manchester

Image
Whilst strolling around Manchester I came across the pop up Clinique Pep Start van. After being kindly greeted by the lovely staff I was taken inside the van to see this little hub they had created. The purpose of this van was to showcase their new products aimed at people on the go. After watching a little presentation filled with confessions of people's biggest fears such as losing wifi and having no service and generally being busy and on go. I was instructed to turn around facing their mirror, and once pushing it open this opened the main feature of the event.

The floor was covered in plastic balls and with everything being set out so neat and tidy, I was instructed to sit down and they would show me how everything worked. The first thing I got to try was the Pep-Start 2 in 1 Exfoliating cleanser £16.50, from the second she had worked the product onto my hand I could feel the exfoliating beads doing their work already. This is a gentle enough cleanser to use on a day to day bas…

Technic Soft Powder Review

Image
Translucent powders have been a recent trend within the makeup community, from baking to just general setting. translucent powders have been popular than ever before. The main perk of a translucent powder is that it adds no colour to your face and helps to draw out oils from your face.

I have been testing out several over the past couple of months but I have found one that is not only amazing but a true bargain for your makeup budget. It's the Technic soft focus translucent powder, now the bran Technic has some fairly good products. It's a brand where you really do have to trial and test to find the good products. But once you find them they are products you will want to use all the time.

This comes in a pretty standard plastic tub with a powder puff with the powder sitting at the bottom. I find this packaging easy enough to use, in terms of the powder puff I don't really like to use this on my face specifically, I prefer to use a brush instead to make sure it really blend…

Best Way To Balance Uni,Work, Blogging, Socialising - Kinda

Image
At times life can be hectic, I will hold my hand up highly and admit that sometimes my posts can be a day or two late. Sometimes you really don't get a good half an hour to sit down and write a post. Whilst I have been settling into Uni life I have been finding that organisation is key. To try and see if my organisation tips could be helpful for you here are my top five tips to balance everything going on in your life and still manage to blog.

So I have a 12 hour+ job that can be as many as 26 hours a week as well as being in Uni 4 days a week and also going out with my friends and truly getting into the university life it can be challenging to keep on top of everything. My first tip is notes and reminders. Whether it is on your laptop, fridge, phone, tablet, whatever you want to use always write notes. I normally set reminders a couple of days before my blog posts need to be uploaded listing what I am going to do that week in terms of posts. On top of this any other reminders so i…
