My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

The Kylie Lip Kit Dupe? Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit

The Kylie Jenner lip kits went into full force last year, selling out within seconds taking the makeup world by storm. From the cute packaging, strong shade range and the brand itself which is Kylie Jenner these were one of the hardest liquid lipsticks to get your hands on. Lots of companies since then have brought out their own liquid lipsticks but nothing has been an exact dupe to the Kylie Lip kits.

Makeup Revolution recently revealed their version of Kylie Lip kit. The Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit includes the liquid lipstick and lip contour pencil just like Kylie's does. This range features over 8 shades from your simple nudes to even some metallic shades as well. Makeup Revolution really does go all out when it comes to creating a dupe product. I picked up the shades Glory and Royal to test out today.

The packaging is quite simple and sticks to the black and gold theme as with most Makeup Revolution products. It's not that similar to Kylie's packaging but…

How I Create My Cover Photos- With Canva

As my blog has grown I've always wanted to improve my blog as much as possible. I make sure that my posts are at the best quality they can be and that I feel happy posting them. I'm saving up to improve my overall set up but I want to share with you today one of the things I use to create and take my cover photos.

For my general photos I use my iPhone Se Camera whilst I am saving up for a professional camera. I take the pictures during the day when the lighting is at it's best and then edit it a little using the Apple photo filters. I then take the photos from this and use one for my cover photo.

To create my cover photo I use Canva. It is an amazing website that allows you to create all different sized posts, you can use their own templates or use your own images and create one from complete scratch. It saves all your posts and even allows you the option to share them with everyone else on Canva.

I tend to use my own images instead of their templates as it's more suit…

Deep Charcoal Masks- Why You Need Them

It'll probably be no surprise to you that face masks are an essential part of my skincare routine. I try to use one at least once a week to care for my skin and help keep it in it's best condition. After trying all different types of masks I have decided to try some more out, now these are the most intense masks I have ever tried. They are the Charcoal Deep Purifiying Peel Masks.

These have recently become popular within the beauty world as they are this quick and easy way to pull out all the toxins, impurities and dirt that lies beneath your skin. The mask pulls out everything beyond what a normal cleanser and exfoliant could pull out.

All you have to do is evenly distribute the mask around your face making sure to get your problem areas and leave the mask around 15-2 minutes to set. You will be able to feel when the mask is ready to peel off. Now this is where it gets painful, because the mask goes so deep into the skin I recommend getting some warm water and a bit of time rea…

January Favourites

January has been a busy month, I haven't stopped from having exams since getting back into University. I've found myself being insulated in the walls within the university Library. At one point I considered moving all my stuff in there. With the spare time I have had I've been experimenting a bit more with my makeup, going back to old favourites of mine I had long ago forgotten. I've even been trying out some new shower and body stuff too this month.

Starting with the makeup the one new discovery of mine is the Stargazer Glitter Dust in 32. I picked this up towards the beginning of this month shortly after Christmas and it is this beautiful bronzed glitter that works great on my eyes. I tend to pat this lightly onto the eye over a fairly neutral look to make sure it's not too out there for everyday wear. It sits really nice and is a good colour to use towards your inner eye as it helps brighten everything and bring the attention right to your eyes. This pot was only…
