Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

February Favourites

This past month has been full of new products in terms of the makeup area. I have been testing new masks, new lipsticks, and lots of other things. For now I am going to leave most of the new products for a few more weeks whilst I gather my opinions on them. But I am sharing with you two of the new products that I have been loving this past month.

My main focus this month has been skincare, I noticed that my skin was starting to get a little dry and more acne prone. I decided to try some new stuff starting with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash. This is a new take on Garnier's famous micellar water, making it into a gel cleanser that foams up removing makeup and any other dirt on your face. This helps to cleanse and soothe your skin whilst taking away any dirt lying underneath your skin. I tend to use this in the morning just to clean and refresh my skin incase there's any makeup I haven't managed to get off fully. In terms of using this as a makeup remover this works seriously well. I have used this as a makeup remover quite often for around my face and then take some water based micellar water to remove my eye makeup. This cleanser retails for £3.99 for 200ml and is on offer at Boots quite a lot.

Next up for Skincare is another new find, it's the Garnier Skin Active Honey Repairing Mask. Garnier have revealed a new generation of face mask combining Honey and Ceramide that nourishes and soothes your skin. I apply this evenly around my face and then leave the mask on for about 15 minutes. After the time is up you can massage the excess into your face rather than having to wash it all off. After applying my case my skin feels so soft and firm. I have never really used many honey masks before so this was a nice change for my skin. These masks retail for £1.50 which is an absolute bargain for something that really works on your skin. I would recommend using these masks maybe 2 times a week, they have a pretty big range of masks so there's a mask for everyone.

The last piece of skincare that I have loved is the InstaNatural Advanced Repair Scar Gel. I reviewed this a while ago and was so surprised at how much it helped clear my skin and help to reduce some of my acne scars. I don't use this all the time as I find that it becomes a bit too heavy and can weigh my skin down. Instead I use this once a week and use a fairly large amount and massage this into my skin. I've been getting a lot more spots that usual this month so I've been keeping on top of this very carefully. The scar gel retails for £19.97 for 30ml. Because of how heavy this scar gel works you don't need to use an awful lot. I have been using this since last year and I'm only about half a way through so this product really does last.

Lastly on my favourites is a liquid lipstick. I picked this up just after Christmas and I've not stopped wearing it this whole time. It's the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Crocodile Tears. This is a Christmas edition of the liquid lipsticks. It's one of my favourite shades that Jeffree has brought out. It's this deep green shade that is full of pigment. The lipsticks are long lasting, dry down matte and don't transfer off during the day. If you want a full review of the liquid lipsticks I will leave the link here. The lipsticks retail for £16 with free tracked 2 day delivery on BeautyBay. The shade range is massive from metallics to your simple nudes the range is constantly growing and I seriously recommend these liquid lipsticks.

And that's it for my favourites for the month. I've been trying some new stuff and can't wait to share with you some of the new products I have been trying out recently. Comment down below your favourites of the month. If you have any makeup recommendations or any other products comment them down below and I could be trying them out next.

Until next time, Chloe!
