Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Everyday Makeup Essentials

It's been a while since I sat down and shared with you the products I use everyday when I do my makeup. If you follow my Instagram I am always sharing the products I used that day so I thought I would breakdown some of my most used products on here that I use almost on a day to day basis.

We'll start from the first product and work our way up.  For a base I love using the L'Oreal Infallible Mattifying Primer £7.99. This sets really quickly and stops my makeup from sliding about during the day. Once this has set I apply my foundation. For foundation I am still staying with my Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation £29 . I love using this foundation because the coverage is amazing, it mattifies quickly and lasts all day for me. Moving onto concealer I am still loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer £19. This is a lightweight creamy concealer that helps to conceal my undereyes and any blemishes.

After I have blended out my concealer and foundation with a beauty blender I take …

The Memory Lane of Makeup

The other day I decided to search through my old makeup, I remember the days of my blue eyeshadow that was as sheer as air and a mascara I got in Shout magazine that did nothing at all for my eyelashes but I used to think I looked so good. I remember saving up my pocket money each week to be able to go to Superdrug and buy the 99p face masks which years later are honestly still great.

I found some of my old favourite products and it got me thinking about my makeup journey. I decided to share with you some of the staple products I constantly used and talk about how my makeup has evolved over the years. My first ever foundation was one that Avon did. I remember begging my grandma for it and I was over the moon when it came. It was one of the most patchiest foundations ever but to me it was like goldust.

I remember the main product I used to obsess over was the Rimmel nail polishes. I used to have almost every single shade and I couldn't resist getting more every time. I blogged about…

Zoeva Nude Spectrum Palette // Review

A couple months back I reviewed the Zoeva Colour Spectrum palette and I fell in love instantly with it. I like using colourful shades every now and then on the eyes and the palette had such a good mix of colours I love using. I decided that I wanted to venture into their more neutral shades so I picked up the Nude Spectrum Palette and my god I am in heaven.

First off Zoeva really do hit it on the head when it comes to packaging, the sleek simple design with the slight hints of metallic all through the packaging and the overall look of this just makes it look expensive and worth the price. I mentioned this last time but it doesn't come with a mirror which is annoying as I take this travelling with me so a mirror would be convenient but I normally take a little mirror with me anyway just incase so I can pass over that.

The palette features 15 shades ranging from shimmers to mattes helping you to go from a daytime to evening look very easy. I am always a fan of the warmer shades so I…

March Favourites

The months seem to be going past quicker and quicker, it's nice to finally see the sun staying all day and to see the days staying lighter for longer. As I write this I have the warm sun on me and it's honestly such a nice way to start the warm weather. In terms of products I have been trying out a fair few new products, jumped back to an old favourite so I thought I would kick off with the old favourite first.

You wouldn't know me well if you didn't know I am obsessed with the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks, I have a fair few of them and my collection is constantly growing. I have been finding myself reaching towards the shade Sandstorm recently. It is the off mauve shade that really helps to brighten my face as well as keeping my lips moisturised. This has a dewy finish as it doesn't dry down fully matte. Normally I hate the glossy creamy feel of lipsticks sometimes but with this I actually like it. It sits on my lips and doesn't move around and stays on even aft…
