Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Travel Essentials: Clothes

This holiday couldn't have come quick enough. I can't wait to finally hit that sun and get to explore somewhere new. I am off to Paris and Milan for 8 days so I really wanted to get my outfits sorted for those hot sunny days. I've got a mix of bits to wear and I can't wait to get out there and get some good shots.

First up are some good old flares, I picked up this navy and brown pair of flares from Pretty Little Thing £15. They are such a comfy pair of flares and they would be great to travel in. Because they are a thin material it's gonna make sure that I stay cool during the day rather than melting all the time. I'm also taking my trusty black pair as well because I couldn't forget those.

Now I'm also taking a playsuit with me, I don't often wear playsuits but I have fallen in love with this one from Boohoo £10.50. It's this cute red floral long sleeve playsuit with lace fastenings on the side. I'm going to be teaming this probably with a d…

Let's Talk That Hair Routine

Hair isn't something I normally talk about but it plays a big part in my general appearance. As a lover of vibrant red hair it takes a lot to maintain the colour and make sure it stays looking fresh and cute. For the record I have frizzy hair that becomes a mess the second you put a brush to it. I struggle to get it dead on straight so I tend to go for curly and more natural styles with my hair. My hair is long and thick so it takes a while to dry so I hate putting any heat on it as I have sensitive hair.

So let's start with the shampoo, I constantly use the Garnier Ultimate Blends Argan Oil Shiny Shampoo £2.50. This range features so many different ingredients to suit different hair types. This leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean and soft to the touch. It's tailor made for dry and dull hair to add a bit of life to it. I get the 400ml bottle and this has lasts me a good while as you don't have to use a lot to get the great results. This normally is on offer for £2.50…

Glowy Warm Toned Birthday Makeup Look

It's finally time for me to share with you the makeup look that I did for my birthday. I was wearing this makeup all day so I wanted to use the products that were gonna stay on all day and keep my face looking glam. I've gone back to some old favourites to create my glam look for the day. Going for that warm toned glam look that we all know I can't be without on my birthday.

Starting with the base after my skincare I used the MUA Wonder Primer £4 and my gosh is this a dream. It's a smooth primer that helps to blur my pores and also help to calm down the pesky spots. Whilst this was doing it's stuff I applied my favourite eye primer it's the Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows in Creme De Rose £5.99, I've raved about this more than enough before so I won't bore you with the details on this but it's such an easy base for my eyes and makes it stay on all day.

For the foundation I am using the Nip + Fab Foundation £8.62. I recently did a full revie…

The 18 Things That Happened Before 19

It's crazy to think I've been 18 for a year now. So much has changed this past year and my future is looking a little bit clearer. I've learnt a lot the past few years and I thought that I would focus down on the things that have happened this year. Strictly the 18 things that have happened so far. It's time to say goodbye to 18 and open 19 and the famous Courteeners song with open arms.

1. University happened, yep first year is gone and time to start the two years that count. It was a bit of a rollercoaster and I really did put the pressure on myself that didn't need to be there. It's been such a great experience and I can't wait to start the next two years of my degree again in September.

2. I Can Actually Pull Off Green And Yellow, yeah this is a bit of a weird one. I've never really experimented with brighter colours until this year and I've managed to find so many colourful pieces that actually look good on me and suit my style. It's been a b…

Get On Board With This Drugstore Foundation

Sometimes we just need a change of routine, I had been using the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation none stop and I finally decided to get on with something different. I had heard so many things about the Nip and Fab Foundation in the shade 10. The range has 10 shades altogether I do notice a few pink shades within the mix so I would make sure that you really check out the testers before you buy them as for me personally pink tones do not work with my skin tone.

For record my skin is combination, mainly oily but there are days when my skin has not even the tiniest amount of oil so it comes and goes really. I suffer from a lot of acne so I am always cautious when trying base products incase they make my acne flare up. I thought I would give you my thoughts after trying this for a week now.

Off the bat the shade is a spot on match with the bit of fake tan I have on. I've been applying this using a buffing brush as I found that my beauty blender didn't do this justice. It collected the p…

Let's Do No Denim

I never thought I would be seeing the day where I don't wear denim for one whole week. It's weird that almost everyday I wear denim whether it be jeans or a jacket it's almost always there. I thought that I would start to challenge myself with my outfits and get more outside the box. The one rule I set myself is that I can incorporate any denim  in my outfits. It's time to hang up the trusty jeans and jacket and go for something a bit different.

For the first day I thought to go with a bit of a tame outfit. I went for my gingham skirt with a teal turtleneck. This is such a fail safe outfit but it's still on trend and can be dressed up with some accessories. I paired it with some tights and a good pair of earrings and this pendant choker from New Look then the outfit was done. This could be worn with boots but I teamed it with some desert boots and it worked pretty well. I'm happy with this being my first outfit for the week as I didn't really struggle to pic…

It's all about Pinterest

I seem to have jumped on the bandwagon pretty late with this one. When it comes to content and day to day stuff I like to always be inspired. I hate the lulls where I don't know what to wear, what makeup to do and what should be here on my blog. I wanted something that still allowed me to do what I want without jumping on everybody else's content. I finally decided to get pinterest and I've not yet looked back.

Pinterest let's you be as creative as you want. I have so many different boards set up to help spread my content without it getting all messy. I've managed to get so many ideas from makeup looks and outfit posts that it's helped me a lot decide what I want to do with my style and I've managed to get so many tips and ideas for my holiday in September.

I'm off to Paris and Milan for a couple of days so I wanted to read about it as much as I can. I'm hoping to go everywhere on my list and really take the holiday in. But what i'm most excited f…

Flatlays Let's Talk About Them

The marble background and tonnes of product have been surrounding my Instagram for a good couple of weeks. I never thought that I would be the one to have a proper theme for Instagram but it's actually quite therapeutic. It's nice to have everything organised around my blog posts as I've found that it promotes the posts a lot better.

I thought that I would sit down and go through the little tips and tricks I have to getting that good flatly. The first part is the background,  I like to keep the same background as I find it's looks a bit messy if I change in between. The marble background I have is actually a sheet of wrapping paper I picked up in Primark £1. It was an absolute bargain and has lasted me so well. It's a standard size so it allows me to fit all my products onto it. My tips for a background is use something that stands out but isn't gonna overpower the products you're including. As the products are the focus not the background try not to use one…

Clearing Up The Skin With A Bit Of Tea Tree

Spots have always been an issue for me, I've struggled to find solutions that last long term. There's plenty of methods available from the drugstore and high street that promise fast results that work quick but they become a one time only wonder. Your skin gets so used to the product that the affect fades. I've tried to go more natural with my skincare remedies and try something that will stick to my skin and really work with spots.

I have been a lover of tea tree for a good while, I harp on about it because it really has made a difference to my skin. I've tried tested and loved so many other spot pinching remedies but this natural oil is probably the best out there. I have 2 spots that decided to appear together and they settled down overnight once I had applied a little of this over my spots.

I tend to use tea tree just when I have my spots but if I am due my period or I'm having any hormonal breakouts I like to apply it in with my moisturiser just to help soothe m…
