My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Let's Go Travelling: Milan

Milan is a place I never thought I would go. I spent 4 days exploring the city and came across so many beautiful sites. The weather was incredible and the views were even better. As someone who had never been to Milan before I felt a little lost exploring the city. I thought I would talk you through where I went and some of the best places to go.

The main place you need to visit is the Cathedral. It's such a breathtaking experience that you really have to see for yourself. If you're under 26 and have a form of ID you can get discounted entry. I paid €3 for the Museum Cathedral and Baptistry. We didn't manage to go into the baptistry as the weather was too hot we were melting. But the view inside the cathedral and museum was breathtaking and something I would do over and over again.

After seeing this we went to a gelato place across from it. It took a while to queue and actually get the Gelato but oh boy was it worth it. They really make it worth the wait and the macaron was …

Cafe Crawl With Potential 019

Couple months back I showed you some of my best cafes to work in. That professional and relaxed atmosphere is what I need when I have work to do or some posts to sort out. But sometimes you just need a place to chat to someone with. I met up with Potential 019 and we are here to talk you through our four favourite places to go to for a good catch up. I'm sharing with you two of the four and the other two will be up on their blog here

First up we're talking one of the best places for a good chilled breakfast Koffee Pot. This is one of my go to places when I'm in need of a greasy breakfast especially if it's after a night out. They do a selection of stuff whether it's for breakfast or at night and they have a lot of Vegan options as well. They also do Vimto slushes. Now let's talk for a minute that makes a place good straight away. It has a really relaxed vibe to it and is the kind of place you could spend hours in catching up with someone.

The second place I re…

Let's Go Travelling: Paris

If you've been on my Instagram recently you will have seen that I was in Paris and Milan a week or two ago. I had such a good time and it was so nice to see some new places and relax a little. I spent 4 days in Paris and saw almost everything to see. I thought I would sum up the best parts to see in Paris  so let's get started.

First up is the general tourist stuff. If you're lucky to be under 26 and within the EU majority of the popular sights are discounted or free. I'd recommend checking for each place but I managed to get discounts on everyone when I showed any form of ID. It's really helpful if you're trying to do it all on a budget. My favourite part has to be the Louvre Museum, we walked round there for probably four hours but it honestly didn't feel that long. There's so much to see and the museum has so many  different exhibitions to offer there's something for everyone. They offer interactive audio guides incase you want to know more about …

How To Get That Glow In Autumn

So Summer is almost going. I'm normally the first person to welcome Autumn but I am a little sad to see the Summer go. I've already got my coats and scarfs at the ready but I still want to have a bit of a Summer glow so I've been using the St Moriz Fast Tanning Mousse for the past couple of months to help top up that glow.
I'm not the one who loves being really orange and bronzy I just like a bit of glow to my skin and this has been a saviour for me. It's probably one of the easiest fake tan to apply. Just blend it into the body and leave it for 1-3 hours depend on how dark you want it to go. I normally keep mine on for around 3 hours depending on when I last applied it.
It doesn't leave that sticky feel to the skin so you're all good to go about your day. I recommend fake tanning at night as it well develop smoother when you sleep rather than during the day when you're here there and everywhere.

The smell is also amazing, it doesn't have that weird…

The Perks Of Duty Free And Sephora

So it happened, yep. I went round duty free and surprisingly only wanted to buy one thing. Normally that never happens but I left with one thing and I'm beyond proud of myself for that. Then we took a glance at Sephora and before I knew it I had a basket in my hand and I was running all over the place. I didn't actually go too crazy so I thought I'd show you what I got.
First up let's start with the Duty Free goodie. For the past year or so GlamGlow have been all over the beauty world. I see it posted everywhere but I've always begrudged buying from them as their products are expensive especially if it's not really your cup of tea. Luckily they do travel size pots for £11.65 so I thought I would pick up the Firming one to try. Now beware this isn't the subtle of masks, if Tin Man from Wizard of Oz is your thing then run out and get this straight away. I'm doing a full review of this soon on the blog but for now I'm impressed.
Now it's time for S…

The Stationery Essentials You Need To Pack For University

This past week I have shared with you my best tips for University. I've talked about things to bring and now we're talking stationery. I didn't really follow any guides on this in first year but oh boy do I wish I had. I found myself buying a lot of stuff within the first couple of weeks and everything was so expensive it was mad. To stop you from making that mistake I thought I would give you a bit of a rundown on the things you'll need and what I'm taking into Second Year.

First up is pens and sharpies. Self explanatory but you're gonna need at least one pen. That's a given but I actually liked to use sharpies as well. When I was making up my notes I used sharpies to create headings and to underline things. Making my notes stand out as well as helping to break down the content. I used to type up the notes during the lectures and then put the notes onto paper but this time round I'm just going straight in on the paper and notes with my sharpies. You can…

What You Should Be Taking To University

For a lot of people who just got their results University is now around the corner. It can seem overwhelming with so much to sort out and figure out it's not like anything that's happened before in your life. If you're moving out it may feel weird, what to pack what to take. What should stay at home it's all very much a blur. As I'm going into Second year I thought I would give you my tips on what to take to University. Now I'm not going to mention the main essentials as so many people have talked about them. UCAS have put together a great list of what you need here. I thought I would talk about the extra bits you're definitely gonna need.

The main things you're gonna want are your home comforts. For me I was so excited to move out, I didn't think I would miss life at home but it's definitely daunting living by yourself or in halls so take from home what you can. In my first year I took a few things from home. I took my favourite mug, my essentia…

Travel Essentials: Makeup and Skincare

In a matter of days I will be in Paris. By the time you're reading this I'm actually already there so it feels weird writing something that talks about what I'm doing at this very second but yes i'm finally on holiday. I am visiting Paris and Milan for 8 days and oh boy have I been excited. I felt like that kid at Christmas as I was so eager to pack everything and get into that holiday mood. I thought that I would share my makeup and skincare essentials that I will be taking with me on holiday. They're the bits that you'd be dumb not to take with.

First off is my favourite cleanser, this is the L'Oreal Fine Flowers Cleansing Milk £5.99. I'm going to decant this as the bottle is too big to take but I love using this day and night. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean and helps to refresh my face at the end of the day and in those early mornings. This is quick and easy to use and this is a great to take with you as you only need this and some cotton…
