My Holy Grail Products Of The Year

The makeup world has been hit with all sorts this year, from rainbow highlights to that weird feathered brow split. It's been a big breakthrough with more brands going cruelty free and pushing the message like The Body Shop. To brands like Nyx finally start to hit more places in the UK. It's time to get down to the products worked the best for me this year, those stand out products I want to take into the new year with me. From makeup essentials to those skincare neccesities let's get down to it.

Now this first one is something I haven't featured yet on the blog, Lush released these miniature charity pots of their hand and body lotion £1. I don't have particularly dry skin but I have noticed such a difference since using this. My skin feels a lot tougher and after a long day at uni or work where I am constantly typing and carrying things around my hands aren't in pain. The miniature pots are just £1but they have bigger sizes for £3.49 for 45g. This has become an essential in my life and I am on my way to picking up my second pot of this.

The skincare saviours of the year are very honourable mentions. First up is the GlamGlow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment Mask £16, I have just finished my miniature size of this from my holiday and I am so heartbroken. I didn't want this to end but I'm excited to pick up a full size one soon. This has been one of the best masks for my face, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and once it's off I notice a visible difference for a good couple of days. I was a bit sceptical of whether or not this would work but I'm so happy I tried it out and ended up loving it. This is the kind of mask you don't realise you need until it's in your life and on your face. For taking that makeup off my L'Oreal Pure Fine Flowers Cleansing Milk £5.99 has carried me through this year. I finished this the other day and had to run out to the shops as soon as I could to pick it up. In the colder months I love using this with a hot cloth to help take all the dirt off and giving my skin a bit of a pamper. I've tried cleansing milks in the past but none of them compare the same to this.

The last skincare dream has been the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Masks £2.99. I normally use one a week just to keep my skin in good condition. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and adds all the good stuff to it whilst allowing me to relax and unwind for a little bit. It's a quick and easy way to look after my skin without taking too much time out of my day.

For makeup, there's been some real loves in this pile. For the base i've been relying on the Stila Perfect Concealer £15 you probably have heard me rave about this at every given chance. It's a little on the heavy side so I wouldn't go overboard with this and use it sparingly. I can normally get away with wearing this on it's own without foundation.

There's been a few highlighters that have changed my life this year, the two that spring to mind the most are the Colourpop super shock highlighters $8 and the Barry M Illuminating Strobe Cream Highlighting stick £4.49. There's not a week that goes by where I don't find myself reaching to one of my colourpop highlighters at least once. They're a strong glow that lasts all day without fading out. If I want to go more natural the Barry M highlighter stick is my go to. You would've seen me rave constantly about the highlighter drops but this stick has been a secret love of mine for a while.

Lipsticks have been a passion of mine this year, from the Sephora liquid lipsticks to that amazing Balmain x L'Oreal collab there's been so many releases that have been staples in my makeup bag. The main one that stands out for me is the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick I've reached for it so much throughout the year and I can't wait to pick up more shades soon.

For eyes I've been using the Bh Cosmetics 88 Matte Palette. I'm gonna stop posting these everywhere as we think we've figured out I love this. But honestly it works so well and has all the colours I would need. With a good eyeshadow base underneath these work great and last all day. It's one of those palettes that you need in your life and I honestly cannot do without.

I could go on and on about the products that have made my year but they're all featured over on my Instagram. Head on over there to see what I've been loving over the past year and you can see exclusive things I don't always mention on here. Let me know what your holy grail products are this year.

Until next time, Chloe!
