Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Hidden Gems- Face Mask Fixer Upper

It's a face mask this week, I've really been wanting switch things up and some of new skincare goodies have been the way to go. I found myself sticking to the same thing and my skin wasn't showing a lot of change. Rather than going too drastic I thought about trying a new mask. We all know I won't turn down the opportunity to get a new face mask so let's talk about how this went.

I'll admit now, I've never used a jam mask before. The Superdrug Vitamin C Revitalising Jam Face Mask £4.99 packed with kakdu plum extract and orange peel this is the sure fire way to get that skin pumped for the new year ahead. After a heavy Christmas and a cold January it's time to treat the skin a little.

This is one of the weirdest masks i've ever used I'll say that now. I have tried a large variety of masks but this really is something different. It's a hybrid of a gel and a scrub mask in a  lovely zesty form. The usual leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then wipe away with a bit of water and you've got some good results.

They recommend to use this a couple times a week as it can double as an exfoliator, as someone who suffers from a lot of pesky breakouts making sure my skin is clear from dead skin is essential. It allows any trapped dirt and oil to be freed what's better than clearing your skin and relaxing whilst doing so.

I've had this on my skin a couple of times and my skin feels as smooth as anything. It's got that squeaky clean feeling to it. I haven't used a proper exfoliator in a while and it's clear to see now my skin was in dire need of one. It's something that you don't realise you need until you got it.

Overall I don't really see myself leaving this one behind, it comes in a tiny little pot making it beyond essential for travelling. This is staying with me all day long, the days of carrying a massive glass post or cramming those sheet masks are gone. This little buddy is coming with me from now.

Let me know if you've given any of the Superdrug face masks or skincare a go. I'd love to try more and get a good couple of skincare bits so pop your suggestions down below

Until next time, Chloe!
