Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Hidden Gems: Revolution Concealer

It's that time of the week again where I bring another hidden gem. I've planned these for the next couple of weeks another is a mix to come. I wanted to bring you food, clothing, makeup the whole shebang. This week it's a makeup gem, there's a few makeup and beauty bits lined up so if that's your thing then let's get cracking.

If you live in the world of makeup particularly drugstore you would've seen the release of the Makeup Revolution Define and Conceal Concealers £4 these daring things are meant to set out the makeup world by storm. Providing full coverage and an amazing base for your face. I took the plunge a couple months back and stopped wearing foundation for 30 days. It's very rare now that I wear foundation as I managed to find a lot of full coverage concealers that did the job pretty great. At just £4 I had to give this a try and give you all the rundown.

Now, the shade range is incredible the lovely Makeup Revolution team tried to vary the shades as much as possible. I was stuck in-between c3 and c5 so I got C5 and it's a good shade for when I'm tanned. As I am after a glow at the moment this colour matches me great.

On first glance you can see this gorgeous packaging, the rose gold and doe foot applicator are a dream pair. I did notice as with a lot of makeup revolution a dupe kind of feeling. It reminds me a lot of the Tarte Shape Tape. Especially because the applicator is quite thick it really allows you to get a lot of product on your face at once.

I use this in the usual places and blend in using a beauty sponge. It sinks into the skin nicely and gives a really flawless look. I'll say this now this is in no way a light concealer. Don't get this is you want a barely there kind of look. This packs a punch and really works to dull away those imperfections. Once it's on it stays there all day, it does start to get a little weary after a long day. But this managed to endure crying and a lot of upset in one day and still look very good so I give this concealer a real good pat on the back.

Will I be using this again? Of course! it's been added into my daily routine and it's replaced my well loved Stila concealer. So expect to hear me going on about this all over again. You can see more photos of it on over on my Instagram. I'm going to be creating more looks over on there soon so go over now.

Let me know down below what some of your favourite concealers are and what Makeup Revolution products are we loving at the moment?

Until next time, Chloe!
