Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

So I'm Using Affiliate Links

Affiliates and sponsors have been a taboo subject for as long as I can remember. The eye rolls and backlash bloggers and youtubers get when they get paid to review a product or use an affiliated website is wrong. Why are we so upset that people are earning money. The money isn't being taken from us. I think what makes it worse is how uneducated we are over affiliates. Especially affiliate links.

So I've started using ShopStyle Collective. It's a website that allows you to earn 5-7p per click if you add a link through their website. They have a wide range of brands with some offering a higher commission for some retailers. Through using these links I earn a small amount of money and I thought rather than just telling you that I have them but why I'm using these affiliate links.

For me this blog has been my hobby since day 1. It's hard sometimes to spend a lot of money on my blog and not get much back. Obviously this isn't done all for money but as it's my love on the side I want to allow myself the opportunity to earn a little bit back. I have big goals for this blog all of which cost money that I want to save for.

I would love for this blog to go bigger, one day it might become my main focus but with Uni, work, and life on the side as well this has to remain a hobby at least for now. I want to get better with the photography and my dream camera is on the list to help this so it could be happening soon.

Realistically through using affiliate links I am not going to be making millions let's be honest. It gives me more opportunities to give back to people and allow this blog to grow. I've swayed away from using a lot of sponsored posts as to me that makes me feel like I am constantly having to mention a product as I am being paid for it or I am receiving it for free. I would remain 100% honest at all times but it's still hard to be always talking about products I have been gifted.

I want to stop any eye rolling moments here and say that I am proud to be using affiliate links. They help push my blog without it being artificial. It's good to grow and it's good to want to improve and get this blog onto a higher platform.

I'd love to know what your opinion is on affiliate links and sponsorships. I've always wanted to remain honest and it's time to now talk about what is going on for my blog.

Until Next Time, Chloe!
