Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Budapest Essentials

In a matter of days i shall be in Budapest. It's a quick trip round sight seeing but i couldn't be more excited to go. It's always been a place on my bucket list. As much as i love a warm sunny country it'd be nice to see a different change of scenery. Taking a quick glance at the 4* weather I decided comfort and warmth is gonna be key. To anyone else going there or you just want to be nosey I thought I would show you what I'm taking with me. From makeup to clothes.

Let's start with makeup, because it is going to be so cold I'm packing plenty of moisturiser. My skin gets really bad when it's cold so something that will keep my skin feeling good is an essential. I'm taking the Garnier Moisture Bomb Moisturiser £5.29 with me to get that skin in tip top condition whilst I'm there. I'm also packing some of the Soap and Glory Shower and Body Lotion Mini's £5. This glorious set came out around Christmas time and it's such a smart idea. Rather than taking those mini bottles you can take these little things with different flavours and styles. I am so excited to be able to pack a little lighter than usual for once.

Clothes wise i was stuck in a rut with this for a while. I didn't know what would be the best kind of things for me to take but I think I've got it right now. Main essential warm tights! I don't plan on wearing dresses but tights are a good way of keeping warm under your clothing without being suffocated by thermals. I just picked up a cheap pair from Primark £5 as these will do the job fine. The next essential is thick trousers. I'm planning on taking jeans and some flares as well as comfy leggings for the flight. These grey flares from Missguided £18 are the ones for this trip. They have a ribbed knitted kind of feel to them and oh my are they soft. I can't express how versatile these are.

Alongside this turtlenecks are of course coming with me, my staple for this trip is gonna be this Stripped number from Levi. It's super cosy and just keeps you warm all day, it has a tight kind of fit so it will be the number one thing to keep me warm the whole time. With the mix of colour it adds a little colour to the outfit which you can never go wrong with.

Shoe wise i'm taking two pairs with me, I'm going with my Nike Cortez £39 and my burgundy boots. They are two pairs of shoes I always reach for. They go with anything and are super comfy. They are the kind of shoes that you just never want to take off. And when I'm travelling there and back the trainers will definitely come in handy.

Apart from the same old accessories that is pretty much it, I hope to get some jazzy shots of Budapest so you can take a peek at my Instagram for those. Let me know if you've been before or if you're planning on going anywhere soon.

Until next time, Chloe!
