Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Hidden Gems- Fred Aldous

I thought we'd take a break this week. I've done a few guides on Manchester and i thought that I would focus on one shop today. It's for those who are into art and design or even if you just like a mooch round a nice shop. Fred Aldous situated in the Northern Quarter has fulled a lot of my blogging inspiration and backgrounds for a long time. So why not pay back the respect and share what this store has to offer.

From quirky decor, the cutest greeting cards and the best selection of stationery you'll see in the Northern Quarter the main floor has it down to a t. With photo booths for use and friendly staff it's hard not to love this place. It's also hard not to walk out buying everything, the amount of times i have had to stop myself buying so many things from here is a guilty amount.

If you go down the stairs you are led to an artists heaven. A room filled with supplies, from blogging backgrounds to paints it has a bit of everything. They have a real range of stuff from art supplies to crafts there is a real mix here. I'll confess now that i am still considering buying all the stamping stuff and making my own background but for now we'll keep that as a dream. With a wide range of materials it's difficult to not find what you're looking for here. Speaking of materials if you go down one more set of stairs you reach the jackpot.

Filled down here is all of the materials you could need, from 3d printing facilities to unmissable sale deals to almost every shade of white card and paper. I've never seen so many in my life! They stock a range of brands and the staff are here to help you where best they can. I sympathise for them with the amount of backgrounds and paper i have had to ask them for. But it's worth it in the end right?

If arts ain't particularly your forte this is still an amazing place to have a look round. With the minimalistic and pop out designs in the shop it's somewhere that really brings out inspiration. Whenever i've lost my mojo I love walking round here and getting some inspo. It has that out there approach a lot more shops are doing around Manchester and i love it.

Let me know if you've checked out this hidden gem before, and if there are any other places i should check out within Manchester. I'd love to talk more about some of the best places in Manchester for you to go.

Until next time, Chloe!
