Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

Image
I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Hidden Gems- Northern Soul Grilled Cheese

The hidden gems series is promised to be a mix. This week I’m back with food what an amazing topic. I know it’s something majority of people love about Manchester and when there’s cheese involved it gets even better. It was my first time at Northern Soul Grilled Cheese and it definitely won’t be my last.

I headed there with JessIsTrying and had potentially the dreamiest mac n cheese of my life. The theme is cheese and grilled cheese specifically if you haven’t already figured. They have options with meat and you can really customise your order with the extras.

They also do milkshakes which looked so dreamy, that is on the agenda for next time! Nothing can sound better than mac n cheese and an oreo milkshake. The whole place is a cheese dreamland and it’s sunk me in for good.

The place has a real relaxed vibe to it, the sit down decor and the jazzy music it’s a great upbeat place situated just before the Northern Quarter Near Afflecks Palace and the Arndale.

It’s got a personal touch to the place, they take your name so you know when you food is ready and they do takeout and are even on Deliveroo! What more could you want.

If I go on about this place anymore I will get extremely hungry but seriously it’s a dreamy place you gotta check out. It’s reasonably priced and somewhere that will stay on your food list for a long time. They even have loyalty cards for a free one on them after several visits and if you take a photo of your food and tag them in on Instagram you can even win a free sandwich off them what more could you want?

Overall I’m in a cheese coma after this place. It brought back my love for mac n cheese and I can’t wait to go back there soon.

Let me know if you’ve checked this place out before and if you’ve got any recommendations for food around Manchester.

Until next time, Chloe!
