Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Hidden Gems- House of Holland

This week is a dreamy post for me, I've always dreamed of working or at least being able to afford to spend my money on certain brands. For years I have fallen in love with House of Holland, it's a brand of dream and jazziness. Breaking the limits of average clothing and going that extra mile. From the star jumpsuits to the velvet dress it really goes there. I thought I would spend this week showing you my top picks from the new line and what I would dream to have in my wardrobe right now.

For spring-summer, the brand is going for pops of colours. From those dreamy purple and yellow items, it's all coming back. There's almost a 70's vibe going on with the floral styles and that hippie chick kinda vibe going on.

My first love is probably not a surprise it's this dreamy rainbow wave jumper. It has a juxtaposition of the nice pop of rainbow and the dark brown it adds a neutral kind of element to it. With the style of this, I would probably layer it up with maybe a shirt popping out under this or maybe tucked into a skirt. My favourite part has to be the rainbow, it's traditional with a pop of change in the colours and the style. It has a Wes Anderson kind of feel to it with the colours, plus the rainbow reminds me of those paint sponges I had as a child, there's a playful kind of feel to it.

Next up sticking with the wave kind of feel, this wavey Prince of Wales check mini skirt. Again another juxtaposition of the formal check print and the smooth waves. For me this is a quieter piece, it's something I could see myself incorporating into my wardrobe a lot easier. For me, the print is quite neutral and can be matched with anything. I love the straight line style and the waves on the side are quite bold especially for Summer this is a spot on piece for it.

Now we're getting more and more into it. This next piece is something that defines the brand for me, this snazzy Spot Velvet Wrap Dress. It has a playful kind of feel to it, signature to the brand. With the spot print that is bang on trend this year for me, the purple print really makes this versatile. You could wear it for Summer or layer it up for Autumn. This layered with some fishnets or even some statement boots really brings the outfit perfect for a night out, or if you're dreaming of this for the day you can wear this with some trainers and get that relaxed kinda vibe.

The last one is an absolute dream for me, it's the one high street item I hope to own one day. This Denim Star Jumpsuit is the dream for me. From the slight flare higher up the leg style, this really has everything going on. For me, my favourite part apart from that beautiful star print is the cut of it at the top. It has a waistcoat kind of style to it, giving it an androgynous kind of flare. This could easily be paired with a statement tee or a jumper and in Autumn a turtleneck and some heeled boots would work a treat with this. For Summer I could definitely see myself pairing this with a statement tee and some trainers to switch it all up.

I could spend hours rhyming off everything from this brand that I would want to own. It's definitely a dreamy investment brand that hopefully one day when a massive amount of money blesses my life and I have everything else I can finally have something from this brand. It's nice to have something like this brand to look up to, as motivation to succeed. Either way, I refuse to stop dreaming about that Star Jumpsuit I need it in my life.

Let me know what your dream pieces are from this brand or others? You can always check out on Twitter and Instagram the pieces I am loving right now

Until next time, Chloe!
