Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

Image
I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Losing Your Love For What You're Wearing

For me what I'm wearing has a big impact on how I feel, I like to take the time out to decide what I'm going to wear and it's something that gets me motivated for the day. I switch between themes and colours and what's in at the moment and for me, I just love to change things up and re-design things in different ways. But I reached a point recently where everything was getting quite stressful and I didn't enjoy putting on clothes anymore.

It's very weird for me to talk about this because I think lots of people have a similar feeling sometimes, but with everything that was going on I just didn't feel motivated to think about what I was going to wear and I lost the want to think about what I was wearing. I started just throwing on whatever and although there's nothing wrong with this, I just felt so unmotivated with what I was wearing.

For me, I hate wearing the same things all the time it drives me mad. I wear jeans for so long before I get bored and need to get out of them instantly. I don't tend to mix it up much when it comes to jeans and flares as I find what works for me and stick with that. I have however been getting into skirts more and starting to switch it up more. It's been weird seeing myself in different clothes but it's been getting me back into my love for fashion and what I'm wearing.

Whenever I don't feel inspired I always try to reimagine stuff I own in different ways, for me if I can't see them different I lose my inspiration and then that's it.

I've been looking at the colours I usually wear, I've been going for a bit more of a pattern mixing orange and green and get some bright colours in there. Come on primary colours, I'm trying to stay away from wearing my usual all black as much as possible and get some colour in here.

Going into the rest of this year, I'm making sure I switch things up and I am going to try and share more of what I'm wearing on a day to day on Instagram so be sure to check it out, if you're feeling a little uninspired by what you're wearing make sure to take a step back, look at what you've got and tried and mix it up.

Let me know what you're wearing this Autumn!

Until next time, Chloe!
