My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and down focus and now that I'm in a job that is consistently 5 days in 2 days off I feel like there's enough structure to be like right in the days/hours/ minutes I have free how can I grow this blog.

The first goal is to maintain my post schedule. 2 a week at 9am never used to be a big ask until everything started piling up, I normally write one post at a time but I find myself wanting to write more posts in one go but I stop myself. Well to hell with stopping myself, if I can get more posts out in one go it will save me in the times where there is no time.

With the first goal comes the second, I want to structure my content out more. I like patterns like almost everyone does. I like the free-thinking approach I have to my blog and that won't change, but I want to ensure the structure or more so schedule of my blog allows for a post that would suit everyone. As there is weeks after weeks where nothing beauty related is mentioned, and it would help me in hindsight to see what posts do well.

Thirdly, I would love to start working with brands and attending events, now it probably sounds stupid to think that this wasn't already an ambition of mine. But in reality I felt for a long time like that was all out of my remit, I have done a few bits of paid work and events but never really gone into the deep end with it. And actually started pitching myself to brands, it's something that makes me so nervous but then you won't know unless you try it, if you see a few Ads and events coming up soon then you know I somehow plucked up the courage.

Fourth and final focus, not necessarily the most or least important but I want to work on my social media. I love twitter, but having personal/work/blog twitters means that it can be quite exhausting to constantly be active on them. But I want to make more of an effort to have a presence on social media and use it to grow my blog.

In short, those are my goals until the end of the year with about 5ish months I'm sure I can get somewhere with them. There will be the long-awaited post on how I'm trying to be more sustainable, but what else would you like to see on the blog?

Until next time, Chloe!
