Is the Missguided £1 Bikini A Real Bargain

If you're an avid fast fashion buyer or you like to stay in the loop, you would have seen that Missguided released a £1 bikini: a simple black triangle shape bikini ranging from sizes 4-24. The offer is for a limited time only; releasing 1000s onto the website each day. For some, this might sound like heaven. A cheap bikini perfect for Summer: a great staple. It even beats the prices of Primark and other brands promising cheap affordable clothing.

But how much of a bargain is this bikini for the consumer and the producers, when the bikini is only £1. This brings the question, how much is it really costing to make it? Are they really making a profit or are they shortchanging the suppliers and the workers behind that £1 bikini? When we break the bikini down it's all about polyester, which is largely unsustainable and harms the planet massively. So, if it's really worth that one photo of you on an inflatable in Greece then you do you, but for the rest of us, I think it's …

Week 6 - Bioderma Dupe !

Hello everyone

So this weeks post of my 'savings series' is about a dupe , since I have already talked about this product before I wanted to talk about it more and just explain why it is so similar if not exact to Bioderma. This product is the Garnier Micellar Water which can be used to remove makeup and cleanse the skin.

I have been loving the dupe for so long I do use it to remove my makeup but I always apply a toner afterwards , this is just to help cleanse my skin and just to make sure all my makeup is off my face. I have actually done a review which will be linked below so please do check it out if you want to find out more.

I personally have never been a fan of Bioderma as I find that all the dupes are either literally the same or just better so why would I pay a silly amount of money for a product that I can get cheaper and probably better.

This product is actually pretty good , I find that the Bioderma is good and always will be but I find that I end up using to much of it too quickly which is just disappointing considering you do get 500ml but with the Garnier Micellar Water you get 400ml and it lasts for about a month whereas the Bioderma only seemed to last about 3 weeks which was a bit annoying.

However the product really does cleanse my skin , both of them do. I have tried both of the products quite a few times to see what difference it actually does to my skin and I find that it makes my skin cleaner and helps reduce my acne.

Now what I will say it that what I mean by reducing my acne is that I used to find that I would wake up before using either Bioderma or the Garnier Micellar Water I would go to wash my face and there would still be makeup , this was when I was using face wipes which I do not recommend unless you want barely any of your makeup to be removed.

Apart from the lasting time I find that Bioderma just does not work with me I can use but I find that the difference is very rare and not that amazing whereas the Garnier Micellar Water really does make a difference to my skin which is amazing considering its less than £5.

Overall I am really a huge fan of the Garnier Micellar Water as it is just so amazing and a honestly really good value for money which is something that really makes me start to like Garnier as I have never really been a huge fan of Garnier but it is still a very good product.

So this week we have managed to save about £9.01 as Bioderma retails for about £14 which is an okay price but considering I can get it for nearly £10 cheaper it makes more sense to buy the dupe. So last week our balance was at £51.20 so now our balance is £42.19 which is insane considering we are only 6 weeks in. Next week I will be talking about a brow pencil which is only £1 which is surprisingly amazing so do check it out next week.
