Elf Eyelid Primer (Sheer) - Review

Today I will be posting my review on an eye primer by Elf. I purchased this about a month ago as I wanted to get an eye primer to use for my prom makeup. I hadn't really tried many eye primers and I decided that I would try this as I haven't really tried many products from Elf but I decided to test this out.

I got the primer in Sheer and one of the things that I noticed is that the primer comes 4 'shades' which I was surprised by as I didn't think that they would different types of eye primers. I don't know if the shades affect the product or whether they are just different shades of eye primers but the idea of there being different 'shades' was very intriguing.

The product itself dries very fast I found that I had to wait about 2 minutes. I could have waited less time but I wanted to make sure the product had fully sunk in. The primer is quite light and not thick which is something I was concerned about as I find that when you apply too much primer it doesn't set the makeup and makes it look 'cakey.'

The primer is actually pretty good in terms of lasting power it helped my eyeshadow last for about 6 hours which was amazing as when I had got home my eyeshadow was still there and it hadn't faded.

I actually really like this primer I wouldn't necessarily say this beats any of the high end eye primers like the Urban Decay Primer Potion but it definitely a very good alternative. The price is what I really like probably the most, it costs just under £2 (without p&p.)

Overall I am a huge fan of this primer I wouldn't necessarily use it all the time but it is a very good and primer and does help hold my eye makeup well.

So this has been my review of the Eye Primer by Elf. On Friday I will be posting the final post out of my '8 Weeks of Drugstore' so don't forget to check that out!

Next Wednesday I will be reviewing a foundation by Rimmel so check that out next Wednesday!

Thanks for reading!
