Is the Missguided £1 Bikini A Real Bargain

If you're an avid fast fashion buyer or you like to stay in the loop, you would have seen that Missguided released a £1 bikini: a simple black triangle shape bikini ranging from sizes 4-24. The offer is for a limited time only; releasing 1000s onto the website each day. For some, this might sound like heaven. A cheap bikini perfect for Summer: a great staple. It even beats the prices of Primark and other brands promising cheap affordable clothing.

But how much of a bargain is this bikini for the consumer and the producers, when the bikini is only £1. This brings the question, how much is it really costing to make it? Are they really making a profit or are they shortchanging the suppliers and the workers behind that £1 bikini? When we break the bikini down it's all about polyester, which is largely unsustainable and harms the planet massively. So, if it's really worth that one photo of you on an inflatable in Greece then you do you, but for the rest of us, I think it's …

Seveneteen Stay Time Concealer - Review

Hello everyone

This week I am reviewing a concealer I have been trying out from the brand Seventeen. Its their 18 hour concealer. After trying and loving the collection lasting perfection concealer I decided to try this and see if it really compares to it.

The concealer comes in 3 shades that in my personal opinion do not suit all skin types, I picked up fair and it was an okay match. I used the concealer on my under eyes and blemishes. I wore the concealer with and without foundation and applied it on top of my foundation.

The concealer is £4.49 slightly more expensive than the collection concealer, but does it compare? No not really. The concealer isn't creamy unlike the collection concealer. The concealer blends well it requires a bit more blending when applying over blemishes but that is expected.

The concealer claims to last 18 hours and gives a flawless finish, I found that it tended to stay for about 5 hours without needing to be touched up. In terms of flawless finish it w…

Revlon Colourstay Foundation - Review

Hello everyone

This week I will be reviewing a foundation that has been a popular favorite of people's from the drugstore it is the Revlon Colourstay foundation. I decided to try this as I heard so many people rave about this foundation so I decided to test it out for myself.
I bought the foundation for oily and combination skin as my skin currently is oily and can be dry at times. The foundation has a medium coverage but can be built up, it also has added shine targted to control oily skin.
I have currently have a lot of spots they are mainly minor but can be covered with foundation, for a foundation with medium coverage this was pretty bad at covering my spots. It covered them but still managed to draw attention to them.
The foundation does help to reduce shine but the main problem I have with this is how quick it dries, within seconds the foundation is dry meaning you have to apply and blend very quickly otherwise the foundation can look cakey.
The foundation claims to be 24 hou…

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Moisturizer and Serum - Review

Hello everyone

This week I am going to be doing a review on my current favorite moisturizer. Now this is also a chance to explain a few things as I have mentioned in the past I am currently at college and I am finding it harder to make quality posts because I put a lot of time and effort into them, so I have decided until I have time again to make two posts a week that I will be posting every Wednesday.
There may be two posts sometimes but there will always be one post on the Wednesday I want to make sure that I post quality content and right now this is how I am going to have to do it.

Anyway moving on to the review. Around the beginning of December my face changed completely, I was getting more spots and my skin just felt odd it was dry and awful to touch and I decided to try and change a few things up. I realized that as the weather is cold your skin gets affected badly it becomes more dry and just is not good so I decided to try out a new moisturizer to help protect my skin and batt…

Good for Spots? - Quick Fix Anti-Blemish Face Mask Review

Hello everyone

This week I am reviewing a product I have tried endlessly. I am an ultimate lover of face masks I have quite a few spots at the moment and wanted something that would help to tackle them and reduce them. After looking in Boots for a bit I came across this brand Quick Fix.

I had never personally heard of the brand before but I noticed they did several face masks apart from this one. I decided to try this one first and then possibly try the others afterwards. This mask is a mud mask which you apply evenly over the face and leave to set for about 12 minutes.

I have been using this for the past couple of months because I wanted to see if they helped my spots in the long run. In all honesty the mask does not work with anything. No matter how much I use or how long I keep it on for my skin never feels any better. It never feels cleaner or refreshed it feels the absolute same.

The mask is meant to help control oil and help to reduce spots. In my opinion it does neither. I have t…

The Do's and Dont's - Makeup in School/College

Hello everyone

This post is slightly different, I have started my first year of college and one of the things I notice about people is Makeup. Girls are wearing more bolder makeup and it got me thinking about the makeup things that you should and shouldn't do for school or college.

Firstly, don't use too much less is always more. When you first get makeup the temptation to apply loads and make it bright and bold is hard to resist I know but remember especially if you are at school that you don't need it to be that bold makeup for school and college really should be fairly natural with a bit something if you are at college.

Don't pay for over the price products if you have just started wearing makeup, this is one tip I cannot stress enough. If you are just beginning to use makeup do not go and waste over £20 on a foundation if you don't know how to properly use it. Use drugstore foundations that are cheaper and good quality and then build up when you learn how.
