Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Seveneteen Stay Time Concealer - Review

Hello everyone

This week I am reviewing a concealer I have been trying out from the brand Seventeen. Its their 18 hour concealer. After trying and loving the collection lasting perfection concealer I decided to try this and see if it really compares to it.

The concealer comes in 3 shades that in my personal opinion do not suit all skin types, I picked up fair and it was an okay match. I used the concealer on my under eyes and blemishes. I wore the concealer with and without foundation and applied it on top of my foundation.

The concealer is £4.49 slightly more expensive than the collection concealer, but does it compare? No not really. The concealer isn't creamy unlike the collection concealer. The concealer blends well it requires a bit more blending when applying over blemishes but that is expected.

The concealer claims to last 18 hours and gives a flawless finish, I found that it tended to stay for about 5 hours without needing to be touched up. In terms of flawless finish it was fairly dewy, at times it didn't sit right.

When I wore this with foundation it looked okay with it, the concealer did not fully match with my foundation but that is due to the poor shade range available. Wearing it on its own was not good, the concealer just looked odd on my skin and did not look right at all.

My biggest problem is the applicator, it is too long and too big it is a doe-foot applicator which I normal don't have a problem with but this one was fairly annoying to use.

Comparing this to the collection lasting perfection concealer I would say this concealer is barely any competition with the collection one. The formula's are different and this one has a poorer lasting time which for me is really annoying.

Overall this concealer is fairly average, the shade range is not good and the product itself doesn't last for the whole time unless you re-apply it throughout the day several times. For the price the product is quite disappointing. This was the first product I had tried from seventeen and I was not fully impressed.

Next week I will be reviewing the Rimmel Scanadeleyes mascara.

Thanks for reading!
