Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

Image
I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara - Review

Hello,

This week I will be reviewing a mascara I have recently been trying. I am a lover of volume and big lashes. I am against wearing false lashes but I want my mascara to give that almost false lash effect. There have been a few mascaras that have met that and I have been wanting to try out some new ones. The most recent one I have picked up is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara from Boots.

The mascara claims
Scandalous Brush: So big yet so precise, our MaxDensity™ brush reveals lashes you never thought you had. 30% wider and denser, with more bristles to capture and coat even the smallest lashes. Combs through clumps for perfect definition
The mascara comes in a bright orange packaging which personally I am not a fan of for me it looks cheap and nasty. The mascara is meant to comb through clumps however I noticed that occasionally there were still clumps even after endlessly using the brush to comb them out.

The mascara does give some volume I wouldn't say it is the best mascara in the drugstore for volume but it is fairly decent if you want a bit of volume and not too much. The mascara doens't smudge or flake which is something I found another mascara I have been trying by Rimmel had being doing.

Overall I feel that this mascara is fairly okay it gives a bit of volume and doesn't flake or smudge, I would recommend this to someone who doesn't want a lot of volume. For the price of £6.99 the mascara is fairly reasonable.

Next Wednesday I will be reviewing a foundation by L'Oreal

Thanks for reading!
