Is the Missguided £1 Bikini A Real Bargain

Image
If you're an avid fast fashion buyer or you like to stay in the loop, you would have seen that Missguided released a £1 bikini: a simple black triangle shape bikini ranging from sizes 4-24. The offer is for a limited time only; releasing 1000s onto the website each day. For some, this might sound like heaven. A cheap bikini perfect for Summer: a great staple. It even beats the prices of Primark and other brands promising cheap affordable clothing.

But how much of a bargain is this bikini for the consumer and the producers, when the bikini is only £1. This brings the question, how much is it really costing to make it? Are they really making a profit or are they shortchanging the suppliers and the workers behind that £1 bikini? When we break the bikini down it's all about polyester, which is largely unsustainable and harms the planet massively. So, if it's really worth that one photo of you on an inflatable in Greece then you do you, but for the rest of us, I think it's …

December 25th - Christmas Day Face

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope everyone has a good day and gets all the presents that they asked for. Today Christmas day will be focused around my family, I don't get to see them an awful lot so I don't want to be spending ages in my room getting ready.

I wanted to show you the makeup look I am wearing today, similar to the Winter Red Lip look this is still a daytime look just with a little shimmer for that touch of Winter.

Starting off with the base I am using the NYX Shine Killer Primer, I have only just started using this but I am impressed so far. Moving onto Foundation I am currently testing out the N07 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico. This helps to create a flawless finish onto my face.

For concealer I am using the La Girl Pro Concealer in Medium, using a beauty blender I like to dab this on any blemsishes and the under eye area. Then blend it in using the beauty blender.

For bronzer I am using the Makeup Revolution Vivid Bronzer in the shade Golden Days, this is meant to be a dupe for the MAC Mineralize skin finish. I just sweep a bit of this around the face and then using my sleek highlighter palette sweep a bit of      on my cheekbones.

For the brows I am using my trusty Soap and Glory Brow Archery Pencil and liner with my Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel just to stop my brows from moving out of place.

Then onto the eyes I am using my Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Eyeshadow Palette starting with Paper as a base and applying this all over the lid, then applying silk over it. This just has a little hint of shimmer and then applying the shade Only into the inner corners of my eyes as this is a white glitter that helps to give that winter look. I like to spread this just going to the middle of my lid. To finish off my eyes I am taking Chase and applying it in the crease just to give a sort of smokey eye look.

Then taking my Supercat liner from Soap and Glory I am doing a thick cat eye that has become my favorite look at the moment and then finishing my eyes with the Maybelline Volum Express Mascara.

For lips, I have gone for the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro You're a star lipstick. This lipstick has been one of my favorites from the year, leaving a matte finish that doesn't feel drying on the lips. Because I will be eating food I don't want to wear a red lipstick as I would be running to the bathroom constantly to be reapplying it.

To set my face I will be using the L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray and then going over this with the Elf Translucent Powder. And now my makeup is done.

I hope you have enjoyed an insight into my Christmas Makeup and I hope you all have a good Christmas.

                                   Until next time, Chloe!
