December 6th - Skincare on the £15 Budget
Skincare is not something I normally invest in that much, I don't like the idea of paying a lot on skincare when I probably should. I prefer to stick to drugstore brands just incase they don't match well with my skin then money isn't really wasted.
Following my skincare routine I have made up a skincare kit coming to around the £15 mark depending on offers. This includes a cleanser, micellar water, moisturiser, face scrub, and face mask. Some of the key items for your skincare. I have decided not to include the spot pen for this post as I will be featuring it in a future post!
I am only featuring products that I have tried for a long time, guaranteeing that they do work and are quality for their price.
First up is the cleanser I recently featured this in my September's favorites post, this is a gentle foam cleanser that leaves your skin feel soft and clean. With hints of lemon it leaves your skin free of any impurities. This can also be used to remove your makeup, however I would only use it for that purpose every now and then as it can become a bit tough on the skin if used in that way. This is normally around the £3.99 mark but for some reason it is currently not on the Boots website but it is available in store.
Moving onto Micellar Water this is a new discovery for me, being a lover of the Garnier Micellar Water I was looking for other micellar waters that worked as great as the Garnier one does. I came across this one, also from the Botanics brand it is their 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Solution. I use this to remove my makeup and wash my skin at night, using my cleansers for just the morning. I find that quite often at night I am quite tired, not really having the energy to do the full skincare routine sometimes so this comes in as a good substitute for my cleanser at times like that. Currently £2.24 this is a micellar water you definitely need to try.
This moisturizer is no surprise, it is the Garnier Moisture Match Matte moisturizer, targeted specifically at those with oily skin. This is the perfect moisturizer to tackle those oily areas whilst leaving your skin feel soft and smooth. Priced at £3.99 for 50ml I can't stress enough how great this moisturizer is. I have noticed a massive difference with my skin since using this, why don't you try it out for yourself.
The face scrub is an old favorite of mine, the Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Exfoliating Face Scrub. This is a face scrub that targets all the dead skin and impurities in your skin. I recommend using this once - twice at the maximum a week as it can be tough on the skin sometimes. For £3.79 you are getting a face scrub that draws out all your impurities and with you only needing a small amount it won't break your bank.
The last one is more of an added product. I suffer from acne, meaning that at times I want a treatment that will get rid of my skins as quick as the problem. The Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Peel Off Mask helps with this, I apply this once a week directly onto the skin allowing the tea tree to cool down my spot reducing some of my redness whilst the witch hazel gets to work at reducing my spot. Now this doesn't get rid of my spot overnight but it does help to quicken the process. And for only £2.29 you can't complain, this product is on offer quite a lot so do look out for it.
This is a different post to what I usually do but I hope people enjoy it nevertheless if you want posts like this feel free to comment down below and it could be one of my next posts.
Until next time, Chloe!
