February Favorites - Makeup and Skincare
For makeup and skincare this month hasn't really changed an awful lot. I am testing a few products out at the moment that I will leave out for a few posts. So I am going to be talking about 3 products that I have been reaching for constantly throughout this month.
First up is the L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in J'Lo's Nude. Now I am a big fan of Nude lips. I love that this shade is a nude with a slight pink tone to it. As I am fake tanning a little at the moment this helps to add a little bit of color to my face complimenting my more tanned skin. This has a creamy finish that lasts all day on the lips. If you are wearing this for all day use I would suggest some lipbalm on before applying this as after a few hours this can be a little drying but either way this is a good drugstore lipstick.
Next up is the MUA Color corrector concealer palette. Color correcting has become a big trend recently and when I saw this for £4 in Superdrug I had to pick it up. My favourite ones to use out of this palette are the peach shade in the middle as this helps to highlight my face giving me a natural glow. And the green shade that I use to cancel out redness. The concealers are creamy and blend easily on the skin with a little help from my next Favorite the Pro Beauty Blender.
For quite a while I begrudged paying £16 for the original beauty blender. I have tried many supposedly dupes for the sponge and never really found anything that worked with my skin. I finally convinced myself to try it and what a good choice I made.
Compared to any of the other beauty blender wannabes out there this is much softer. You can wet it a lot easier and when applying the product it gives you an even amount to work with. This glides along my face helping to apply my foundation or blend my concealer in smoothly. I tend to use this for foundation and concealer meaning that instead of having to take 2 brushes out with me I can just take the little sponge.
The sponge is easy to clean and if people want any help on how to clean their sponge and other makeup brushes I can definitely make a post on that. In terms of the £16 price mark I would say that this is a high quality beauty tool. I would tell people to save up and get the original or the pro version as they are the same price. Rather than wasting your money on a number of dupes that just don't work near enough as well.
They are just a few of my makeup favourite for this month in my next post I will be talking about the fashion favourites I have been loving through the month.
Until next time, Chloe!
