Is the Missguided £1 Bikini A Real Bargain

Image
If you're an avid fast fashion buyer or you like to stay in the loop, you would have seen that Missguided released a £1 bikini: a simple black triangle shape bikini ranging from sizes 4-24. The offer is for a limited time only; releasing 1000s onto the website each day. For some, this might sound like heaven. A cheap bikini perfect for Summer: a great staple. It even beats the prices of Primark and other brands promising cheap affordable clothing.

But how much of a bargain is this bikini for the consumer and the producers, when the bikini is only £1. This brings the question, how much is it really costing to make it? Are they really making a profit or are they shortchanging the suppliers and the workers behind that £1 bikini? When we break the bikini down it's all about polyester, which is largely unsustainable and harms the planet massively. So, if it's really worth that one photo of you on an inflatable in Greece then you do you, but for the rest of us, I think it's …

Introducing Veleza

What would you say if I told you there was an app that combines makeup reviews, makeup looks and just a nice community of people all in one app?

The 21st Century has finally caught up with the makeup world and an app has been created for all the makeup lovers out there. Introducing Veleza, this app is a new discovery for me but god I love it.

The app offers the ability to comment, post, and rate products. Call it the social media for makeup lovers. From showing everyone your makeup of the day to what you use to take the day off, the opportunities are endless. The more you review and rate products you'll be given an expert rating, depending on how many products you review and rate. I am currently an expert in Makeup Removers and Highlighters and others.

From all these reviews and posts you earn gems. These collect up and put you under different levels. It gets quite addictive once you first go on the app as you are met with such a warm and welcoming community. The community really is one the assets of the app. You are getting the honest opinions of real people rather than some youtuber who got paid to rave about a product. You have the option to privately message people and just generally be more involved in the makeup community.

The only downside is as the app is continually being updated they haven't put every single product on their yet. But you have the option to tag the product and feature it yourself.

Overall, I'm a big fan of this app. I love the fact that you really start to connect with people that have the same passion and love for makeup as you do. I've managed to speak to so many amazing people on there. I felt like I needed to share this app with you guys.

Comment down below if you check it out and if you do follow me on their under MySecondAttempt. I hope you check this app out and if there's any other apps you think I may be interested in comment them down below.

                      Until next time, Chloe!
