Deep Charcoal Masks- Why You Need Them
It'll probably be no surprise to you that face masks are an essential part of my skincare routine. I try to use one at least once a week to care for my skin and help keep it in it's best condition. After trying all different types of masks I have decided to try some more out, now these are the most intense masks I have ever tried. They are the Charcoal Deep Purifiying Peel Masks.
These have recently become popular within the beauty world as they are this quick and easy way to pull out all the toxins, impurities and dirt that lies beneath your skin. The mask pulls out everything beyond what a normal cleanser and exfoliant could pull out.
All you have to do is evenly distribute the mask around your face making sure to get your problem areas and leave the mask around 15-2 minutes to set. You will be able to feel when the mask is ready to peel off. Now this is where it gets painful, because the mask goes so deep into the skin I recommend getting some warm water and a bit of time ready.
I tend to try and peel off what wants to come off already first and for the stubborn areas I damped my skin with warm water and peel the mask off then. It helps to soften the mask and lift it a little off my skin. Now be prepared as your face will look fairly red once you have done this mask so if you want to do this before a big event or night out I recommend doing this the night before.
Once the mask is off you will feel how soft and clean your face now feels, I recommend rinsing your face with warm water to make sure the mask is fully off and then lather your face in moisturiser as the masks can be quite drying because they go so deep into the skin.
After all this your skin should now be all clean and at least some of the dirt lying underneath should be gone. I do this once a week because your skin can take a lot of dirt and toxins very quickly. If you have sensitive skin I recommend doing this every two weeks as it is a very harsh process to do on sensitive skin.
These masks are available to buy in single packs which is what I use or you can buy it in bottle form. I prefer to get the single packs as it distributes the product more evenly and ensures I don't use too much at a time. The single packs retail at £4.23 for 20 packs which if you're only using one a week or every two weeks the value is amazing.
Overall, I don't think I would be able to live without these masks. They have changed my skin for the better and helped to keep on top of my skincare routine a lot. As someone who doesn't always have time to do the full skincare routine 7 days a week it's good to have something like this that I can use to help make up for the times I can't do the full routine.
I hope you have found this review useful, comment down below whether you have tried these masks out before and how they were for you? Or if you have any masks that you think I will like comment them down below and I will definitely give them a try!
Until next time, Chloe!
