Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

Garnier Skin Active Natural Aloe Vera Toner-Review

This time year is normally quite stressful for me, I am surrounded with exams, work, and revision so days out and the warm weather aren't really something I'm getting a lot of right now. My stress levels are normally through the roof and majority of my routine starts to fade. My skin has taken a massive tole on my skin so I've really been looking for easy products to help combat any spots and make my skin look a little bit better. I'm currently trying out the Garnier Skin Active Naturals Aloe Vera Toner to help my skin so I thought I would share with you how I've been getting on.

Aloe Vera is normally great for problematic skin as it helps for a lot of acne scars and spots. It really calms my skin down and reduces some of the redness. My skin is famous for flaring up and going red whenever I'm stressed so I've been using this a lot to help calm it down.

As this is a toner it's great to use after cleansing or even as a cleanser if you use it correctly. I h…

Go To Cafe's For That Boost Of Motivation- Manchester Northern Quarter

Manchester has always had a little special meaning to me, I remember saving up my pocket money for weeks and travelling into town so that I could look around all the shops and end up coming home with a little something. It's only in the past couple of years that I've really started to explore town more and I've slowly fallen in love with the Northern Quarter. I feel really relaxed and my standout not your so typical look and style feels at home there. From the great shops, bars, and cafes there really is something for everyone there.

When it comes to writing blog posts I really take inspiration from the environment I'm in. I struggle to write a post in my room unless I'm tucked up in bed and I find writing in the same place for a long amount of time causes me to just lose my flow with writing. I decided to start going to more coffee shops and cafes to boost my creativity and motivation and honestly I've found the change so helpful. I thought I'd share with …

Drugstore Rose Gold Inspired Liner Look

I love changing my makeup every now and then, I love experimenting with different colours. But I have never really ventured out that far when it comes to eyeliner. I decided to go bold and try a rose gold liner look a couple of weeks ago on Twitter and Instagram and thought I'd share with you how it went.

First off this isn't a look you can do 5 minutes before you need to head out. I'd leave a fair bit of time free incase you need to reapply it or need to practice getting that perfect wing. I did the rest of my face before attempting anything with my eyes which was a bit of a mistake as I did have to reapply the concealer around my eyes as I made a little mistake so definitely do this before the rest of your face.

For an eye base I used the Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow in Creme De Rose £5.99. I have used this almost every single day it's normally the one thing that is always on my lids currently. I can't get enough of it. It stays on all day and is suc…

Current Fashion Loves: Shirts

I don't tend to change my clothes up that much normally, but in the past couple of weeks I have really reinvented my style. I've tried to put my twist on current trends as I am not the kind of person that will be rocking the ultra bright colours this Summer. I've decided to share with you today one of my favourite items of clothing that are on trend at the moment. Shirts. Now I don't normally tend to rock the androgyny vibe but I really love how a shirt can take a look to smart and casual. There's so many fun shirts out there at the moment. I thought I would share with you some of my staples at the moment.

First up is the one that is probably the most out of my comfort zone. I don't normally wear pink colours. Having it in my makeup is enough of a push but I fell in love with this pink striped shirt from New look £10. First off it fits good for the Petite range which for a 5'3 gal is the best thing to hear. I like my shirts to look a little oversized but mo…

Disappointing Products

As I like to try a lot of new products quite often I do come across products that don't work for me or just aren't really my cup of tea. I try to not mention disappointing products too much as I'd rather mention the products that do work. But I thought I would share with you some of the products that just really haven't worked out for me incase you are thinking on trying them.

First up is the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara. I used to love this mascara a while ago but whenever I use it now I just can't stand it. This is a really thick mascara like it says and it builds up my lashes quickly but because the wand isn't curved to suit your eye more I have to use about 2-3 coats to get all my lashes. By this point my lashes are all crispy and flakey and it ruins my whole makeup once that's done. If the mascara wand was curved I would probably find this a lot easier to use I just personally do not like really clumpy mascaras.

Next up is a primer, now I have…
