Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Current Fashion Loves: Shirts

I don't tend to change my clothes up that much normally, but in the past couple of weeks I have really reinvented my style. I've tried to put my twist on current trends as I am not the kind of person that will be rocking the ultra bright colours this Summer. I've decided to share with you today one of my favourite items of clothing that are on trend at the moment. Shirts. Now I don't normally tend to rock the androgyny vibe but I really love how a shirt can take a look to smart and casual. There's so many fun shirts out there at the moment. I thought I would share with you some of my staples at the moment.

First up is the one that is probably the most out of my comfort zone. I don't normally wear pink colours. Having it in my makeup is enough of a push but I fell in love with this pink striped shirt from New look £10. First off it fits good for the Petite range which for a 5'3 gal is the best thing to hear. I like my shirts to look a little oversized but most of the ones I have bought previously look more like a jumper on me than a shirt. This shirt has something so cute about it, the white and pink stripes really work to make the shirt wearable for Spring and Summer. And the little embroidered Merci adds it into the embroidered letter art trend going around at the moment. I normally style this as well as my other shirts with a skirt as it helps to bring it in and focuses the attention onto my waist. It helps to balance out the proportions of an oversized shirt and puffy skirt.

Another shirt I have been loving is this grey and white striped one I picked up ages ago. I love how formal this shirt looks, if you roll the sleeves up and tuck it in and undo some of the top buttons it really helps to make the shirt work. I like to pair this with my skirts or it does look good with skinny jeans and a nice pair of ankle boots. I love how simple this shirt is but it makes a big statement if you pair it with the right items. Chokers and short necklaces are a great statement piece to use to help the outfit out a lot.

Now one shirt I have seriously got my eye on is from Asos £21.99 . I love the star print detail on it as it works as a great night or day top. Paired with a nice pair of skinny jeans, ankle boots and a choker this would be great for a night out or an everyday look if you pair it with a good leather jacket. You may be seeing this on my Instagram soon!

And there's some of the staple shirts I am loving at the moment. Let me know down below what current trends you're loving at the moment.

                              Until next time, Chloe!
