How To Keep Your Skin Looking Good In Summer With L'Oreal

In the summer I don't tend to spend as much time on my skincare as I normally would. It gets so hot and sticky that applying a load of products seems like a waste of time. I tend to stick with the products that still leave my face feeling nice and clean. My routine tends to incorporate a lot of spa's over Summer so I like to make sure I don't put too much in my skin incase it clogs my skin.

For cleansing I like to go for the L'Oreal Cleansing Milk. Infused with Rose this helps to really get rid of any dirt and makeup. Leaving my skin feeling so clean and fresh during the day. I normally rub this into my face to breakdown my makeup and then wipe off my face using a cotton pad. I go over my face with cold water to make sure all the excess is taken off and then my skin is good to go. I use this day and night as it's a gentle cleanser. It comes in a really handy bottle with a pump which makes it so much easier to get an even amount each time. I bought the 400ml size for £5.99 which is seriously good value for money.

After I've cleansed my skin I like to go in with a moisturiser. I have been trying out a new moisturiser as I wanted something lighter for Summer. As my skin gets oily quite easily I wanted to make sure that anything I got wasn't too heavy for my skin or something that would make my skin oilier. I decided to try out the L'Oreal Aloe Water Gel Moisturiser for combination skin £9.99. This promises up to 72 hours of hydration with a lightweight gel formula that sinks into the skin quickly. I have been using this day and night as it doesn't take an awful lot of time to sink in. This is such a nice lightweight moisturiser. I didn't think that the gel texture would be for me but I actually prefer this now that I've tried it. It doesn't feel sticky on my skin and lets my skin really breathe and do what it wants to.

At night I have been trying to get into more creams for my skin. I recently received a sample of the El & So Light Nourishing Exotic Night Cream £28.80. This is a really nice lightweight cream that's been helping to keep my skin nourished and it's given it a nice little glow. This has a really lightweight texture that sinks into the skin overnight. The scent of this reminds me a bit like freshly cut grass, once it's on my skin you don't smell the scent but boy does it smell nice in the jar. This has really helped my skin a lot to give it a nice glow and a bit of a much needed sort out.

Throughout the day I normally need to have two trusty items. My Rimmel Stay Matte Powder £3.99 has become a god send recently. It gets so hot and sweaty that my makeup starts to go a little too dewy. A quick top up of powder and then my face is good to go. I've also been carrying around some oil blotting sheets. These have been so helpful to get rid of excess oil before I apply my powder to make sure my face doesn't get clogged up with oil.

That's pretty much it for my Summer skincare routine. I like to go really simple with my products and make sure I'm not using too many things on my skin. Comment down below the staple products you are using in your Summer skincare routine.

                             Until next time, Chloe!
