Is the Missguided £1 Bikini A Real Bargain

Image
If you're an avid fast fashion buyer or you like to stay in the loop, you would have seen that Missguided released a £1 bikini: a simple black triangle shape bikini ranging from sizes 4-24. The offer is for a limited time only; releasing 1000s onto the website each day. For some, this might sound like heaven. A cheap bikini perfect for Summer: a great staple. It even beats the prices of Primark and other brands promising cheap affordable clothing.

But how much of a bargain is this bikini for the consumer and the producers, when the bikini is only £1. This brings the question, how much is it really costing to make it? Are they really making a profit or are they shortchanging the suppliers and the workers behind that £1 bikini? When we break the bikini down it's all about polyester, which is largely unsustainable and harms the planet massively. So, if it's really worth that one photo of you on an inflatable in Greece then you do you, but for the rest of us, I think it's …

Why I Think There's Always Room For More Bloggers

When I first started my blog I was influenced by so many bloggers. It was the trend of disco pants and  MAC hauls and this was the prime of blogging. Youtube was only just taking off so a blog is all people had. Nowadays people have blogs and youtube accounts, sharing everything on all their social medias. It seems that blogs have got out of the focus. Youtube and videos are more of the focus now but I think the blogging community has and always will be strong.

There is always more room for bloggers in this industry. There's so many opinions that should be added to the mix. Not every product works for people and more views are better than a few. We need more bloggers that aren't biased because of their affiliate links, more bloggers that don't jump on the bandwagon with posts making their blog sound the exact same to one you've just seen.

Originality is clear with writing, you can see straight away if someone has copied a post or not. As a community we need to stand out individually. But the most important thing is that we need is a friendly community. We need to bring back the collabs, the hauls, the trends that last 10 seconds.

Equally we need to bring back old and new stuff, we need the digital and influential world we are in now with social media being at the height of blogging success. But the flair and originality of the old blogging world.

The finishing line is that there's always more room for more bloggers. Now matter what anyone or any article says it's time that more people go with their dreams and what they want and really make a statement.

Don't feel embarrassed or scared to get into the blogging community. Confidence takes times but do what you are passionate about. I hope this post has been helpful and inspires some of you to take up blogging.

                           Until next time, Chloe!

  1. Love your approach and style Chloe! I have just started out blogging after wanting to for years- so it was a very encouraging post to read! Can I ask which platform you use to blog? I'm finding blogger.com quite restrictive (or I just don't know how to use it!)

If you fancy having a lool at my blog it's yoursfaithfullyjen.blogspot.com

    1. I use blogger, I use a template for my blog as I found it easier to display my content. It still takes me some time to get used to the set up of Blogger

Hope your blog works out well!

  2. I am appalled at the fact that there are some copycats out there who publish unoriginal work! If you're too lazy to blog originally and properly, why are you doing it in the first place?😕😠 Situations like that anger me.
