My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Hair Help From Soap and Glory

Dry shampoo has become a miracle product, whether it's to freshen up your hair or just add a bit of volume to it. I don't think I'd be able to live without it now. I've tried and tested many brands but I find a common problem with a lot of them. They tend to take a while to sink in and leave that white residue that makes my hair look like it's never been dyed rather than needing to freshen up.

Soap and Glory recently came out with their own dry shampoo. The Rushower dry shampoo £4 aims to freshen up hair and leave it smelling good. You already know with Soap and Glory that your gonna get that sweet scent that lasts for a while so I was so excited to try this out. It absorbs excess oil and dirt and it claims to be invisible even for dark hair. I tested this out over the past couple of months to really see if I could get the real picture with this.

The one thing I noticed was the scent of bergamot and mandarin . It's one of the original Soap and Glory scents that you just want on you all the time. They advise to spray this over your roots making sure not to go too close and then shake it into your hair. I normally do this for a bit to build up some volume.

I have used this when my hair has been fresh and in need of a wash after a couple of days. Regardless of when you use this is does leave my hair feeling fresh and it always looks like I've just been to the hairdressers. Normally this holds in my hair for around 8 hours before it starts to run down a little bit I tend to brush this through my hair if I'm using this in the morning as it holds the dry shampoo in.

It is best advised to use this the night before as it allows the shampoo more time to sink into the hair and absorb all the oils. This also makes it easier to head out the door quicker in the mornings. Especially if you're running late and still want to look like you took your time to get ready.

My one bit of advice is to watch how much you use, it's very easy to use too much and have that annoying white spray all over your hair. I prefer to use it at night as it allows it more time but if you are using this in the morning then make sure to brush it all through.

Price wise this is around the same price as Batiste. I have been a big fan of Batiste for years so it was difficult to part ways with it to try this but there's something about this one from Soap and Glory that I really like. It's more lightweight and easier to get on and go. This is avaliable in Boots where there are always offers on so make sure to get a good deal when you pick this up.

All in all I'm a big fan of this, it's different than what I've used before. It's something that I want to have out on display and that scent is incredible. You feel refreshed when it's in your hair and it's something I want to keep in my collection for a while. Let me know if you've used this before and any recommendations you have for me.

I have a new blog post up every Wednesday and Sunday and a new Bloglovin post up every Friday. You can also check out my Instagram and Twitter.

                             Until next time, Chloe!
