My Goals Til The End Of The Year

WOO, I'm back, it feels weird having a bit of a break. But in all honesty it was very overdue, I'm the kind of person that finds themselves running on empty quite a bit. It's something I don't want to be like obviously, but I'm very much an 'oh well I'll find time for a break later on' rather than at the moment when I need it. It's not exactly been a relaxing sit around do nothing, it's been more of a right I have a new job so my attention needs to be on that, I'm in the world of 9-5 so it's taken me some time to find my feet and get settled into the new routine.

But I feel like I've got there now, I actually do 7 hours a day so my trick to combat that is to do add an extra hour onto my day to go to a cute cafe and get some blog posts done. And with that, I wanted to set myself some goals so that this break and time to think was for more than my return post. My blog has been very up and down over the years, it's had an up and dow…

Goals for Next Year

It's about to hit 2018 and we need to get the ball rolling. I've talked about staying motivated for the year on the Growing Up Guide but I want to talk about my goals for this blog. 2017 was a big year for me, I launched my Instagram and Pinterest and really got in with the blogging stuff. I made a big decision to take the blogging world by storm and really go in on it. I found my place in the blogging world and I was ready to get going.

After looking at all your lovely comments and responses I decided that I wanted to get my face out here a bit more. I had spent years hiding and letting my blog talk for itself without really interacting with you all. I found that I lost my connection on here and I wanted to get back into it. For this new year I want to be connecting with you all more, my social media is gonna be flowing with conversation as I felt I've been a little shy this year.

Flatlay wise I wanna up my game, it comes down to planning and thinking where I want my con…

The Festive Accessories For The New Year

The festivities are flowing and it's time to get in the mood. The New Year is beginning and the party outfits are out. Even though the clothes make the outfit the accessories matter to and never forget that. If you're stuck for outfit ideas then check out my top picks here but if you're here for those needed accessories let's get cracking then.

Let's talk the chokers. Since the hype around them came I have been in love ever since. There isn't a week or two that goes by where I don't mention my love for them. It's a weird love to have but for me they become a staple to every outfit. I haven't even got my NYE outfit planned yet so I'll drop in a few of  my choker faves instead. If I wanna go glitzy this one from DesignB London off Asos is great. I love the vintage jewel design it has and paired with a statement dress or a killer suit this works great for the night.

If you want to carry than ring pull trend through to the new year this Gold one from

Boxing Day Bargains

It's a couple days before Boxing day and oh my am I ready for it now. I have so many things I want to get in the sales so finding out where to go is essential. As I am sadly working all day on Boxing day I am relying on online shopping to get me through. I really want to get some clothes in the boxing day sales. So let's go through the places you need to check out for the boxing day deals.

If it's clothes your after I can already bet Asos are gonna be doing it good. Last year they had a lot of stuff on sale but I bet they will do a discount this year on a lot of stuff. I'm dying for some new trainers and tops and I've found my dream pieces I need.

First off how cute are these light pink and navy Adidas Hamburg Trainers £80. They aren't something I normally go for but I love the clash in colours. That light pink against the pop of blue makes them such an interesting piece to wear. I've never owned a pair of Adidas trainers so this would definitely be the fir…

How Uni Life Has Been Treating Me

It's now the end of the first semester in my second year of Uni. It's definitely been a massive jump since first year. But I feel excited to say that I have the Christmas break to relax. There's been a lot of deadlines and I have taken a more active role now with the university. So it's definitely not been easy adjusting to the change.

The main thing I've learned is to start taking care of myself. It's difficult to balance everything and still allow time to just relax. I've been out a lot so it's not been often that I've actually stayed in and relax, I've been finding my spare time on the blog or writing for the Growing Up Guide. And as much as I love all of it that isn't really allowing myself to relax properly. It sounds silly saying that we should learn to relax at Uni but if I you don't allow yourself to Uni becomes too much and the stress starts to pile up.

My mental health has taken a turn, I really struggled to handle the pressur…

Those Other Gifts Gift Guide

It's the last of the gift guides. It's to talk about those novelty gifts. We've looked at the beauty gifts and now it's time to look at the other gifts you can get. From Superdrug to Debenhams they have plenty of novelty gifts you need to check out. This are great ideas for Secret Santa's or for that friend who doesn't want a beauty gift. So let's get down to it.

Superdrug this year have really gone all out with the novelty gifts. I've found so many things on here that I need in my life. First off is this Peg Board £8, it's such a nice idea and it's a great gift to give. This can go in the bedroom or anywhere in the house. This is a really good gift for someone who's just moved into a house or is looking for some new decorative pieces. For that selfie obsessesd friend this year why not treat them to a selfie clip £4.50. It fits on easily to their phone and ensures those well loved selfies are better than before. Allowing you to get more peop…

My Holy Grail Products Of The Year

The makeup world has been hit with all sorts this year, from rainbow highlights to that weird feathered brow split. It's been a big breakthrough with more brands going cruelty free and pushing the message like The Body Shop. To brands like Nyx finally start to hit more places in the UK. It's time to get down to the products worked the best for me this year, those stand out products I want to take into the new year with me. From makeup essentials to those skincare neccesities let's get down to it.
Now this first one is something I haven't featured yet on the blog, Lush released these miniature charity pots of their hand and body lotion £1. I don't have particularly dry skin but I have noticed such a difference since using this. My skin feels a lot tougher and after a long day at uni or work where I am constantly typing and carrying things around my hands aren't in pain. The miniature pots are just £1but they have bigger sizes for £3.49 for 45g. This has become …

Christmas Skincare Gift Guide

With the cold weather, lots of food and probably not a lot of time to pamper your skin. Why not give someone that bit of help with skincare this Christmas. We forget how much of an essential it is so why not get someone sorted with a new bit of skincare ready for the new year. I normally ask for my favourite bits at Christmas as it helps me stock up for the year. Skincare can be so expensive especially if you wanna try out new products so get spending on those minis and get someone's skincare sorted for Christmas.

Just like last weeks gift guide post I am showing you three places with three of their skincare items that you need to get this Christmas. They are all online and 2 of the places can also be bought in store if you prefer. I have kept it at a range of prices from as little as £10 which is handy for those secret santa budgets. So let's get the online only place out of the way Cult Beauty. First up is the Pixi Glow Tonic Minature £10. Guaranteed to give you a winter glow…

30 Days of No Foundation

The colder months have had me snuggled up in bed not wanting to leave the warm comforts of my flat. It's been more time staying warm than sitting by my mirror putting on the usual makeup. I decided to change my makeup routine up a bit, I love a heavy look but foundation hasn't been my favourite thing at the moment. I decided to give it up for a month and see how I get on.

Generally my skin is quite prone to spots and since it has left a lot of discolouring and scarring I've always been a bit apprehensive about going out with just concealer or a bb cream as I've always been a full coverage gal. So to meet there in the middle I've gone for some more full coverage concealers and slowly work myself down.

Depending on how my skin is doing that day I may go for more full coverage or I may just go for something light. The rest of the makeup has stayed the same so it's not been too drastic. My main go to's have been the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and the…

I struggled this year with what to get and seeing as I am almost done I thought it wold be the right time to show you the bits and pieces I found along the way that are perfect for those makeup lovers this Christmas.
