Birchbox 3 Months On

Subscription boxes are a weird niche, they're a nice little pick me up each month tailored to you. For me, I've always wanted to try these and for the past three months, I've been subscribed to Birchbox. Each month I've received a bunch of products and I've given my verdict on them. I thought I would review the whole service after three months of purchasing and share my loves from the boxes and the ones you could definitely miss out on.

The boxes overall have been good, there hasn't been any in which I haven't been disappointed. The service offers boxes tailored to you, after filling out a quick questionnaire it helps to tailor the products to you. What I've found throughout the boxes is it's normally 1 or 2 products that you will receive that might be different to what other people receive. This means there isn't that much personalisation around the box and what you get.

However, I feel like the products in there, for the most part, are tailore…

Drugstore Palette Envy

There's gonna be more palettes and makeup posts coming up soon. It's been a little quiet on the makeup front but it's back with some of new things to feature. Speaking of an inexpensive palette last week I have another one you need to invest in. You've probably heard so many people rave about this palette and I am about to be the next. It's the Soph does Nails Eyeshadow Palette £10

Let me tell you now those warm tones, wow they are something real special. I haven't picked up a palette like this for so long. It's a real mix of colours in this, with purples to pinks to reds to dark browns you've got a real mix of colours up in here. As someone who likes to switch it up and experiment with colours i wouldn't wear in the day this is a real good one.

When it comes to a big palette like this, the fact that there's a big variety of shadows makes it easy to travel and experiment with this. I don't have to take my massive BH one I can take this and have shadows for any occasion. It's got more variety in a lot of other palettes I've seen. Especially considering a lot of their other palettes have more of a theme and a order to them. This is a mix of all sorts and that ain't ever a bad thing.

These don't last that well on their own so i recommend a good primer with them. I don't have oily lids but I found this didn't stay long without primer. It's good to set you lids with a primer and then a good base colour before going in with any heavy colour. I normally always stick to a lid base colour and then go in with the colour. I have really loved getting into the warmer colours, shock horror I know.

If you want to experiment a bit with colour without breaking the bank this is the one for you. It's easy to travel with so your makeup bag won't get weighed down by it. It's got a pretty big mirror with some amazing shades in it.

Let me know what drugstore palettes have been your go to recently. I'd love to see what looks everyone creates with this palette! I'm gonna try and post some looks using this palette on my Instagram so go check it out

                       Until next time, Chloe!

  1. This palette looks too good. What beautiful shades! i might just have to buy it.
