Best Spots in Manchester for a Good Old Drink

Image
I'm surprised I've never really covered this before, but in the past year I've ventured out a bit and gone around town looking for the best places for a drink, from cocktails to ciders there's a range of places across Manchester that deserve a bit of a spotlight. I like a mixture of drinks and there's nothing worse than going to a new bar and choosing the same drink you have everywhere else, I like to try something different each time. So if you're looking for a new place to grab a drink take note of where am about to mention, from the Northern Quarter to Spinningfields.

First up, is Jimmy's if you're into the more indie scene of Manchester this is a great place to check out. They have a great range of cocktails, great music that you can't miss and they house a lot of gigs around the year. Some of my best gigs from the past year have been at Jimmy's and it's somewhere you really can't miss. It's a bit different to the rest on the lis…

What I Did In January

January was a weird month. It was a mix of stress and laughs which is an odd combination I’d never normally put together. Semester 1 exams hit and I was in full revision I learnt a lot over the exam period and I’m ready to talk about that soon so stay tuned. Mentally it was a lot I struggled to find motivation and find a moment to be calm. I can only thank the ones around me for the support over exams.

Which brings me to the laughs part of the month. Exams brought me closer to Jessistrying. It’s comforting to have such a babe of a friend that we can cry over exams and bond over food and blogging. I’ve longed for a close blogging friend for a while and it finally happened. We’ve found so many food spots that have a place in my heart and my stomach! Also praise to her to always get good photos she’s a gem.

Food was another one for the month I visited so many different places. I’ve got a book full of food places to go to now and it’s refreshing to have a change of scenery. I’m exploring more and more of Manchester each time so catch these new places in the Hidden gems posts soon!

Fashion wise I’ve gone all out with it. I’ll admit now that it’s not been absolutely amazing each day. There’s been a lot of outfit repeats and clinging onto the baggiest jumper and yoga pants has been a nice break and it got the creative juices recharged but oh boy am I ready to go all out again. When you’ve got 3 exams in one week and so many other things it’s hard to find the time to plan outfits.

Instagram and social media has been another thing that happened more this month. I’ve been getting back into Twitter a lot more and got a bit of a tweet schedule going on.

My best achievement of the month has to be getting into the Marc Jacobs beauty campaign with Influenster. I spent countless nights filling out the surverys and I waited patiently for it to come through the post. I loved creating the pink liner look and it’s opened my eyes to more ways to switch up the usual liner look.

Let me know what happened for you in January it was a real mix up of a month. As I write this exams are over and a real weight has been lifted off and I feel like blogging to my hearts content.

Until next time, Chloe!
